It is not on fire. Those are specially designed afterburners that are used when you want to rotate in 1,000 feet or less. Also, when you use them, you are automatically free to fly in whichever direction they take you. Unfortunately, they are only good for takeoff as all fuel tanks are emptied in less than 90 seconds.
