They do this at just about every park. BGT has a system of colors depending on how close the lightning is. That would be a code purple at Busch, outdoor activities closed and seek shelter.
This happened to me but I was not at cedar point I was at Canada’s wonderland last year. The power went out and it started to pour rain a train on behemoth was stuck on the break run it was crazy
I go to cedar point and I have a fear of thunderstorms. I went there a month ago and dang if I heard that there I’d know I would have a mental breakdown then I’d die in this storm.
This happened to me at Hurricane harbor it was pouring down rain with lightning. And they would let us hide in the Resturant we had to go in the bathroom where the roof was made of flammable material. Felt like I was in FD 3
I heard that Kurzweil 3000 on the computer had that same voice. You had to click on the narrator and click on what person you wanted to read the text and it would read. Kurzweil 3000 had it's issues like if you tried to read like a odd word or a lot of symbols before the sentence it would jump around saying the symbols before the sentence and it was very frustrating to hear.
Haha, I love that announcement. It means a quick storm, everybody leaves and or goes and spends hundred of dollars in the areas they recommend seeking shelter at. and I dont have to buy a fast lane pass!
Very cool recording the PSA. I think I got the Siri-type of Lady-talking version a long time ago but she wasn't as apocalyptical. So where did you end up seeking shelter? and did it really storm bad?
I ran to my car and headed for the main land. Got pelted my rain on the way. The storm was rough. Several gift shops flooded where people were sheltering.
@@pwolter0 I haven't been in it that bad. I've seen the shop floors semi-flooded. you have to have good windshield wipers also if yu try to make it out. I have a Columbia water proof jacket and pants I've used if I see it coming. However shoes and socks get soaked. the one time I heard the PSA I got to my car since the lake was dark. the car got pelted with hail but it didn't mark up the roof. On a side note riding Millennium Force in the front row in the rain is brutal. it feels like your drowning you can't breathe until you get into the tunnel. then it literally hits you like needles. your face throbs and burns. you forget you're drenched. I can say I experienced it once. But I'd take that over my car being damaged by hail.
Cedar Point is fine! Was intense storm though, I wasn't at the park, But I was at my daughter's place. (In Sandusky) A couple of buildings lost their roofs a few blocks away! A lot of damage, BUT could have been worse!
I Know That Guy. That Paul Voice From The Goanimate. I Was There Back In 2019 In May And We Got There On A Tuesday And Its There Was A Storm There However It Had Doris Voice Caillou Mom/
Yes. I knew this was a severe storm because I saw on the Facebook group that those who purchased tickets for that day could come back on another day. Cedar Point almost NEVER does this for weather, so I knew it was pretty bad.
Ahhh the best time for emloyees we loved when this happened because we would take the few people on platform under the station and get to know them and have fun. Sometimes we showed them around but I’m pretty sure we weren’t supposed to🤣
