Real talk bruh. When I was 12 I attempted suicide. I took 90 tylenol PM and went to bed not expecting to wake up and I didn't leave a note for anyone. I woke up around 4 hours later and couldn't feel me legs, I was tingling and numb all over and was ice cold. My finger nails had turned purple and I felt stiff all over. Did I die that night? I'm not totally sure but I didn't see heaven or hell from what I remember. I couldn't stand up or walk, I was severely dehydrated and couldn't eat or drink anything and hold it down. I was deathly sick for roughly 2 weeks. Also keep in mind I was only 12 years old, didn't go to the hospital or any doctors for the overdose and my family didn't even know why I was so sick until I told them 8 years later. I know for a fact that God brought me through that and preserved my life. From the overdose research I've done I have found that not even a quarter of the amount that I took that night would have indefinitely killed me. Then 8 months after that happened I found my father dead from a pill overdose on easter morning 2008, he was a severe pill addict. He was dead for almost a whole day and night when I found him which traumatized me to the point of having PTSD. He was in really bad shape and decomposing when I found him. He was very abusive but I still loved my dad. I was 13, 2 months from turning 14 when it happened. Even worse 3 months later my mother gave me up for adoption because I reminded her to much of my dad. I could never settle down anywhere so I jumped all over the state in group homes, foster homes, mental hospitals, and locked down behavioral facilities. I ended up living a short lived life of crime and did a little over 5 years in prison and 5 years of probation for several counts of felony larceny when I was 17, (I was charged as an adult). I used to steal to support my bad habits, I was strung out on pills, alcohol, and pot. Now I am a new man in Christ Jesus and wouldn't go back to the way things were for anything this world has to offer. I am so grateful that Jesus saw fit to give me another day of life and many more after that. I'm now 26 with a wife and kids and am blessed to have a beautiful family of my own. Sadly I didn't sincerely come to Christ until a few years ago but I can see his fingerprints all over my life. I have a clean bill of health and give all of the credit to God in whom my healing comes from. So long story short I'm bragging on God for being so, mighty yet so merciful all at once. Now when it comes to the things of God I'll rep him and all he stands for until I take my last breath with all my strength or until Jesus returns, whatever comes first. Praise God.
