Hello Kaleo, I'm using my wife page. I've sewn nets for many years. I recently been watching your tutorial video and glad you are teaching the basics for beginners. You explain simple illustrations, and glad you can relate in your speaking what is needed to make a throw net. Mahalo Nui Loa. Henry
Thank you. I feel like its a dying art, we cant let it die out as the Hawaiian culture only goin lose if we have no one to teach us and no one like learn. I think many get discouraged from learning because somethings are hard to understand, thats why I do the illustrations along with actual sewing. Many need to see a visual representation to understand whats happening. Then especially when the math of it can vet confusing. I guess thats why I keep sating to stick to the basics, and the advanced things will come later. Years ago I gave up trying, cause no one could actually explain it well, most videos are bad quality and even reading books was confusing. Im just trying to help people get the foot in the door, encourage them to keep going.
Yess! Mahalo braddah for doing what u do. I also believe It is a dying art. I dont know anyone to teach me so i am very appreciative of your knowledge that u share. 🤙🏽
This is what I needed to understand why and how to get a net to open as flat as can be to the thrower and accuracy on the target or type of fish that you are stalking for correct right boss
Howzit, How many regular rows between pumana rows? Or once you start Pumana rows do you keep doing them every row or like 5 normal rows to one Pumana? Mahalo
when you do the pumana, is it for every eye on that layer/ row of the net? or is it only one pumana eye/ a certain number of pumanas per layer/ row? Mahalo
