In this video I tell you all about my new appliqué series called
Sew Simple Shapes REMiX
This is the introduction along with the tutorial for the first block.
Each month I am designing a new appliqué block using different templates from my sets of Sew Simple Shapes and then each month here on my channel I'll show you how I put the block together:) I hope you enjoy!!

I have sewn all my life and quilted since 1989. I have made wedding rings and other complicated, ribbon winning quilts. At 71 with arthritis in my wrists and vision problems, these videos are showing me how to simplify my favorite hobby and keep on quilting. Thanks for all your great videos and your blog.

I throughly enjoyed this, Lori. I love to hand appliqué. I usually do needle turned appliqué. I have your Granny’s Garden kit and Prim kit and will hand appliqué after I prep my pieces with your interfacing. I have had the kits for a good while but have been trying to finish a few other quilts before I start them. My mouth is watering to get started. So I've been making sure there are enough small jars in my sewing room because they do come in handy. There are baby food jars, jelly or jam jars (with a gingham motif printed top) and even horse radish jars in the market and so my buttons, first and foremost, have the most wonderful glass houses in which to live! Thanks for a really nice video. The bird's beak 'hack' was great; the way in which you sewed the two pieces of fabric together first before getting to your shape.

I love the smaller blue binder- i purchased page protectors (8"x5" from local office supply store) and used them for my small quilt and cross stitch paper patterns.
