Its a beautiful quilt. I layer the background with each color before I cut so they are perfectly square when I finish cutting. Then I break thread at the end of each row and press the whole chain. It goes much quicker. If I need to trim at least its just one row that can get messed up. Just my way of keeping things straight otherwise I would definitely get some out of order😂

A gel cushion might help. It takes a minute to get used to sitting on one but it does help.

I downloaded the pattern and have a Kona Rainbow FQ bundle of 12 so I will have to dip into the stash. My machine is going to the shop so I am cutting multiple quilts out. 😆 😂

When I cut in the fold I spray the fold piece with water spray on my iron then iron it dry and the fold line pretty much disappears. Different than the steam.

Do you find that some antiques fade, I had a green one that rubbed of on my hands while I was sewing it?

I have yet to have any issues with batiks fading. I have had a red bleed in the wash before. But so far no color transfer while sewing.

😮 Did you say straight stitch? Only machines don't get jammed up at the tip of fabric?

I don't get the fabric sucked in on my straight stitch machine. Only time on a regular wide hole that I dont really get the tip sucked in is when I am chain piecing.
