Great video as always. Thank you for all the research you do for see the trends. I will, inadvertently, be very on trend this autumn. I have the chanterelle pants cut out, fabric for shirts - both classic men’s and more feminine ones - washed and ready to go, as well as shirt dresses and half-zip sweaters planned. And a RTW bomber jacket in my wardrobe too 😲❤
Thx for another great video Kate ! One quick thing to mention, but that odd echoed raspy sound came back with this video. It’s the first video I’ve noticed it on in a while, so maybe the volume or something got tweaked? Just wanted to let you know, but brilliant content regardless - I always look forward to these ones!
Great review!! Thanks for the reminder of the: "Fibre Mood" "Didi"-must try that soon! Also, the "Mitchell Trousers" by "Closet Core"-those look fab! "Fibre Mood" "Edition 25" cargo skirt-very cool! Thank you for another great review! :+)
That bias skirt just screams 90s and early 2000s to me. I still have patterns in my stash from the 90s for a skirt just like that (I worked at a fabric store through much of university and we got free patterns). The question is whether I'll go to the trouble and expense of making one this time around!
I definitely had that cargo skirt in the 90s. Deer and Doe has a skirt pattern with a great shape and flat front that would be perfect for a cargo skirt. I actually cannot remember if it has cargo pockets already, but if you don't care for that straight drop, check it out.
If you're new to sewing with knit fabrics it's a good idea to start with something stable like a ponte roma or interlock (as opposed to something drapey and slippy like viscose jersey). Coco is a great option for your first knit fabric project thefoldline.com/product/coco/
I have some options for you! First is currently out of stock I'm afraid but you might be able to find somewhere else: thefoldline.com/product/style-arc-genoa-bias-cut-skirt/ The Crystal Skirt has a really cool panel detail at the bottom thefoldline.com/product/fibre-mood-crystal-skirt/ There's also the Helen Skirt which is a lovely simple slip shape: thefoldline.com/product/helen-skirt/
I don't mind long videos, but please check the audio. So many times your videos hurt my ears and I have to skip them - even when I try to lower the volume. I don't have this problem with other videos on RU-vid - so it's not on my end.
You do fantastic reviews and I get so many ideas from them but I’m finding the sound increasingly puts me off. This video seemed even worse than others. The microphone and the space just makes it sound so tinny and I find it hard to listen to so I watch them less. I just wanted to let you know in case others are discouraged by the sound too. Amazing videos and content but poor sound.
