Nice job!! You explain clearly and I LOVE that you tell us when to finish with serger. I recently purchased a serger and am unsure when to use it so this REALLY helps. So many vloggers leave this out. You are fantastic!!
Love your sewing videos. So helpful and easy to follow. I bought this pattern for my daughter and your instructions really helped clear up a couple of questions I had.
Thank you for this sew along. I used it to complete my 1st pair of 8389's. 😁 I just have to hem the legs. I haven't decided if I will be wearing them with pumps or flats☺. Thank you again.
Made the shorts version three times now, and honestly I hate the look on me.. I kept thinking it was how I was sewing it but after following your tutorial, which made it so much easier, I just realized I didn’t time the pattern 😂😭 oh well!!! Also, every time I add the waistband to the pants, there is just so much bulk!!! I seriously want to blame myself but I got no idea 😭
That was a neat way to do the opening for the elastic! Cute and pretty simple pants. I wonder if the pleats would lay more nicely with the other , fuller view.
Those look fantastic. I'm definitely going to make me some of those. Could you explain please how to add that inch in the back when your cutting out your fabric. I'm new to sewing and I just want to make sure that I understand it completely before I cut my material too. By adding an inch isn't that going to make adding the back to the front more difficult? Because it won't align right? Will it? I've got a little extra in the backside and I'm going to need more on my pants too. Thanks so much. I'm going to go watch all of your videos. I love how you clearly explain what your doing and you show what your doing too. Love it!
Hi Brittany i have just ordered this pattern just what i have been looking for have you ever made this pattern in a crepe fabric love your tutorials brilliant xx Tina
I just love your detail explaining. I have one problem can you explain how you find you size. I know I shoud know this but I believing I am doing something wrong. Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you so much Bernadette! I find my size by first taking all of my measurements. From those measurements, I pick my size based on the finished garment measurement printed on the pattern or sometimes its on the back of the envelope. Hope that helps!
I bought this pattern and made the shorts, however I am confused about how to measure the pleat since I would be an extra large. don't see where it should connect.
Hi Farralyne!! I just posted about the adjustment and added a little diagram on what I did in a blog post. You can check it out here. www.brittanyjjones.com. Thanks you so much for watching! Hope the blog post helps!!
Hey!! Thanks for watching!! For size I only cut the size 18. I just posted a blog post talking about the adjustments as well as included a little diagram to show exactly what I did to add to the rise. You can find it here on my blog. www.brittanyjjones.com Hope it helps!
