Love it, keep 'em coming...... question though, when you pull in to where you parked, is the other parking lot the same entrance off Nash rd. I've always parked in the free spot. Have you been on the other side yet, by fourth of July Creek.

When do you think the reds will hit the culvert area? I think it is more like the first couple of weeks of June. I caught a couple of Kings there the last time I was there. I am probably going to head over on early next week just to check things out.

What size snagging hook do you recommend?
@BOUTDOORSALASKA
@BOUTDOORSALASKA Месяц назад
We make 6/0 8/0 and 10/0 most people use 8/0 I prefer 10/0 my self seems easier to snag them with.

Treble hook snagging?
@BOUTDOORSALASKA
@BOUTDOORSALASKA Месяц назад
It’s strange way to get fish but the legal way that lots of people get salmon for winters here in some Alaska saltwater areas it’s not legal if fresh water rivers

@@BOUTDOORSALASKA I know about winters in AK. They're in "Fairbanks" where I lived for 6 years during my stay 1967-2004 in AK. Next time try Lowell Point Road 2 mi.; casting #4 Flo red or green Vibrax or soaking herring under a bobber.

Not fishing ~~Snagging

can’t argue with that but it’s what they do it was not allowed in Utah that’s for Sure

@@BOUTDOORSALASKA When I was living in Anchorage in the 1970's it was the same thing. People would go to the Russian with their kids and have the kids pack the reds back up to the campers where the wives would be canning away, (since the canned fish didn't count as limit fish). They would then sell or ship the canned fish all over the USA. Now there isn't a big king left in the Kenai; and so on to the next.

@@sole1014 the term fishing means “the catching, taking, or harvesting of a fish” snagging is a type of fishing and it’s lots of fun ! Especially when fishing for fish that lose their appetite as they enter fresh water and begin their spawning journey!
