When the beat drops it makes me tear up. It's like every boss fight I've ever prepared myself for. Every time where the weight of the world was bearing down on you, where you were the only one standing to stop doomsday from befalling the world you've come to appreciate so much. That moment is so important to me and its beyond these words really.
OFFICIAL LYRICS: It's called "it's working" It's hole that has controlled 500 years An energy creating advantage It has delivered cross-era It's the speed to lime's office And a mimeological, pathological fear of cum It's not road, I mean officially Mr. Squidward
Can someone who is well-informed on Australian politics explain the context of this song and the vocal sample? I’m from Canada and know little about the Australian government.
australian pm scott morrison brought a lump of coal into the house of representatives to taunt the opposition party. and a bunch of other things. friendlyjordies on youtube has all the rest you need to know
@@jimjohn1740 No; but that would be funny. Just a ton of debates about pipelines and parliament acting like children, constantly yelling, clapping, shouting, etc. Alberta is super conservative and very hard on pushing oil etc.
@@junkoxeno_7734 Me too, fuck this half-life we are all subjected to by capital. Active revolt in our day to day lives is the best way we can achieve freedom, since it'll never just magically come to us.
I’m not anti-civ, but as an Australian Anarchist that track art brings me life. Fuck Scomo, the most impactful thing he ever did was shit himself at the maccas in Engadine.
@@ando5185 Seems like alot of sewer fans are Australian. All politicians fall into tyranny eventually no matter the country and if the people are conditioned not to do anything they keep there power. People have to work for a system but I don't think you need to 9-5 waggie your entire life. If you are already spending all your time in a room and enjoy it live in your car or something
Scomo: Scott Morrison, incumbent PM, Liberal Party. Responsible for inaction against climate change, fucking off to Hawaii during the worst bushfire in history, and corruption. Koala Killer: Gladys Berejiklian, (now former) Premier of New South Wales, Liberal Party of NSW. Responsible for corruption, worse land clearing than third world nations and underfunding fire services, leading to her nickname "koala killer" Bruz: John Barilaro, (now former) Deputy Premier of New South Wales, National Party of NSW. Responsible for extreme pork barrelling, arresting a RU-vid Journalist, starting a court case against a RU-vidr, destroying the environment and siphoning water away from the largest river system in Australia for cotton farming. Bruz comes from him being italian and the word being a play on words of Bros, like Super Mario SAPOL: South Australian Police Force ACT: Australian Capital Territory Liberal [Party] Government: The current ruling party of Australia federally and in South Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania. In NSW and federally, the Liberals are in a coalition with the National Party. If you need to know more, look up friendlyjordies on youtube
Scomo refers to Scott Morrison (hes the one that made the coal speech the song samples). The liberal government was the one scott morrison was in, we’ve had them for the past 2 elections and they’ve been the worst government we’ve ever had (just look up friendlyjordies and have a watch of a few of his videos from when they were in. He’s a political commentator that really hits the nail on the head). We now have labour in which happened a couple months ago. The ACT is a… state? Building? Its where the big government building is. I dont know what SAPOL is or vote 4 no 1. Koala killer refers to the fact that the gov didnt care about the environment, ecosystem or people of Australia. They only cared about keeping the coal and mining companies happy which back them and keep them in office.
i listen to allot of unorthodox music, but its nice to finally hear something so unique(& quality) for once in a long time, nothing quite like the first half of this track anyway most music is so unoriginal, even outside of mainstream ...but too bad the random vocals here ruin it its more like two tracks forcibly mashed against one another, ill just have to enjoy a cropped version on my own
For me they dont. The music and vocals go hand in hand if you have the context. Literally one of the worst governments australia has ever had. It was really disgusting and depressing. Full monopoly on press, destroying our environment and ecosystems, scrounging as much money from medicare, NDIS and other public services, causing or not handling some of the worst disasters in Australian history such as the worst bushfire we’ve ever had (which could’ve been prevented if they hadnt had cut a shit ton of funding from the fire departments). The song captures the feeling of dread seeing this happen back to back and wondering what the country will become. I’d watch friendlyjordies to see what was happening. Hell, one of the liberal politicians were trying to silence the damn guy cause he was exposing his wrongdoing. If thats not enough to convince you that the lyrics fit the dark and dreadful tone of the song i dont know what will.
