I really like listening to you ramble while doing stuff cause it sounds pretty much exactly like my inner monologue 24/7. Also yeah I hate when I see someone make something super cool and they don’t show how and I just sit there frowning, plus it’s kind of therapeutic to watch. I think these types of videos of yours are my favorite. Seeing you do something you love, while turning it into basically a podcast. It sounds so much like inside my own head, I don't feel as alone. 😅 Sewing is such an interesting passion; it's so tedious and frustrating, but the seratonin payoff at the end is like none-other. a straight dude that knows how to use a sewing machine? just wtf are you?! you're no human! lmao. i learned how to sew around 4th grade when i was in a 4-H program. i dont have my machine with me, i left it with my mom but i know how to sew with machine and by hand. most ive made is a skirt BUT with a pattern i can make other things. pretty sure i still know how to read patterns lol. id have made my own clothes except there was never anywhere to get cloth. if you were lucky walmart might have SOME but it was mostly yarn for crochet. the friend whose mom was the 4-H leader always wore home made clothes though. they weren't ugly or gross or anything like that but they weren't the style at the time. idk why we never asked her where she got her fuggin cloth from now that i think about it LMAO. that friend went on to become an engineer btw. betch was always smart AF in math so im proud of her. haven't talked to her in 10+ years though but it happens. also this isn't me bragging or anything im just relating to someone by telling my own story of sewing. sometimes people think im bragging when im really just trying to be like "hey i like that too! i did that too! lets talk about it!"
I love sewing while I watch your sewing videos. Very fun to hear your stories too. I've only worked on my own patterns, but this makes me want to try and customize clothing that's already been made too! (Also, I can relate to stabbing myself repeatedly with my needle XD)
What you said about people not showing the process of things is why I watch your videos. I want to see everything, not just the end result. I learn a lot while watching people do things. That with the rambling is just perfecf

Currently I'm working on a plastic canvas house, which is just a like 2d/3d whatever the fuck it is, cross-stitch, which I got into from cross stitch (thanks Nana) and I had to undo a FULL section I think 3 times so far, and it is PAINFUL, it isn't as bad if it was all one color, or if you didn't end it off yet, but if you do multiple colors and swap over and such, I just have to undo it and take a break, because it took so much effort and energy just for nothing, but I'm happy with how it's coming out, no matter how tedious it will be to have to stitch 35 FUCKING FRENCHKNOTS istg I am so procrastinating doing them by just moving on to other sections of the canvas, but omg I hate French knots, so so much
u can consider getting checked out for and medicated for ADHD, honestly just the trains of thought and struggles you face seem very consistent with other ppl ik who have ADHD (yes myself included lmao). 12:41 Im limited on editing software and when I do a video project I often dont do a lot at the start then increase how much im cutting down as I go in, then have to go watch the whole thing back and fix up the beginnin more

I dont know whats considered a 'normal' knot but I think its a pretty basic one. Im sure theres a variety you can do but the main goal is securing the thread as best as possible and making sure it isnt loose/has slack. Its tough to explain in text so if you're curious i'd definitely suggest looking it up more
