Favorite shape bag!. When I make mine, I just add a wide strap (sewn like the handles, just wider) and added a magnetic clasp. Beautiful colors and quilting technique. 💝🐾. Tfs.
What’s up with the thumbs down? How could anyone not like Debbie and her teaching and her bags? And if all that isn’t enough, she shares her beautiful dog with us. Perfection! Really a nice bag Debbie. Love the foam stabilizer and I can actually imagine making it a little larger for groceries. Love that fabric as well. Thank you!
Amethyst Samia I know right!!!!!!????? But some people I wish we had an EJECT button to take the thumbs down 👎 off I love Debbie 🥰 and her fur babies too
I love watching your videos. You have such elegance and grace, and a simple way of teaching. Added bonus is how sweet you are with your dog! She is gorgeous. I love your gentle training and patience you have with her! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Debbie. Bless your Bobbin, he's such a good boy under the table noseying and amusing himself with mummy's glue sticks !! lol. Your book 'Sewing Room Secrets, Machine Sewing' on page 63, your beloved Alfie, you have done a grand job, it looks just like him, Bless him. The book has so much knowledge that's been explained so well. I want to Thank You also for sharing all your years of knowledge from a hobby you loved turned into your wonderful job and all you've learned along the way. Your books & videos have helped me so much to re start my love of sewing after 40 years. God bless you Debbie, x
Thanks for recommending Debbie's book. I will have to look it up. I haven't sewn in about 5 years. Hope to start again soon. Bobbin is a fun name for a cat.
My mother and I started watching your videos the week before Christmas. We are now hooked! You are such a good teacher. Please keep the videos coming now that we've found you. 👍😊 My next challenge is to make the smocked pillow you demonstrated. You made it look so clear and easy. Thank you Debbie! Hope you have a great year!
I absolutely love!!! to watch your tutorials. You're by far the best teacher I've ever watched. Your bags are adorable! The vintage fabric is so feminine. Thank You again. I can't wait for the next video.
Love it. That is my preferred way of adding binding. You always do such a wonderful job. I have made so many of your bags and loved ever one of them. I think this one would be perfect for unfinished kitting projects. Simple and easy to use. Thank for sharing it. Ann from Va USA 🇺🇸
Beautiful bag, great tutorial, Debbie. Glad to see you recommend a hand finished binding. I actually enjoy that part of the project - all the machine work done and I can sit down at the table with the telly on and a cup of tea and do the finishing touches.
Wow I love this! You really are a very clever lady Debbie your my favourite along with my mum who makes dresses of course. Thank you for sharing and teaching us all including the new generation of sewing men and women
Thank you Debbie , going to make mine out of denim and tweed and slightly bigger with pockets in side and a magnetic clasp , love the tutorial , always do cheers x
Lovely. You make it look so easy! I just recommended your page to my niece. She is just beginning to sew and I find your projects very attractive and your instructions are so clear.
Thank you for the video it’s a beautiful bag which I am going to make for summer😍. I also love your the cup you use to shape the corners, it’s beautiful shape and pattern 😍
I'm thinking I might make this a bit bigger and use it as a beach bag. The bosal would be good as I think it might be a bit quicker drying if the bag gets splashed. Nice design Debbie, thanks from Australia. Love your tutorials.
I am loving your videos am learning a lot just found your site a week ago and i cannot pull myself away thank you i am also looking for you fabric but cannot find where to bye it on your sites
Love the bag and the fact that your dog comes in to visit. Is there a pattern for the bag in the background that your dog was so interested in? Thanks for another great tutorial. You make things easy to follow. Waiting for your next one.
Love the bag -- I think I'll make a taller version of it for groceries! (BTW, I see that Bobbin hasn't yet learned about how much fun it is to lay down beside her Mummy while she's sewing, then nonchalantly lay her head down on the foot pedal! My late Golden Retriever, Barclay, used to play that game every time I sewed! I miss that boy!)
Hi Debbie, Do you have a video out there that shows some very helpful and different ways to sew by hand, based on what part of the bag you are working on? Things such as a strong sew on the bottom of the bag, a invisible seam, etc. I have no way to buy a sewing machine and I hand sew everything 100% including my pouches for both of my daughters purses I create for them.
Hi Debbie and Bobbin. I love that name. And I love that bag. seems easy enough till I get going on it, but I'll have you by my side every stitch of the way. Only one question to ask. Can you tell me the name of the foam you used, it looks really good to work with. I've been using an iron on stabilizer for some bags but struggle with it puckering as it sticks. I think for quilting the foam looks better. Thank you for all your video and your stitch by stitch instructions. I think you inspire an awful lot of us sewers.
Debbie, I just want to thank you for showing me how to finally assemble a bag! Something I have had for at least 3 years sitting on my sewing table collecting dust. I was trying to put the entire bag together all at the same time, including the lining. Can you show an easy way to put ruffles on the front? Should the ruffles be lined on the back? Guess I need to go back and start all over. Thanks again, you are a great teacher!
Hi Debbie nice bag again, love the quilt behind you, just getting my fabric together to make it with the half yard club, just one thing i would like to ask is can you please put all the Tuesday tips onto the club web please as i am not on Facebook so can not down load them to put into a folder. love the patterns in the club, would like to see the live chats but i watch them on hear not as good but i still enjoy them, once again thank you for a great club i have enjoy it very much.
Debbie I'm a little confused about sizes 34x10 x2 for outer fabric and 34x22 x2 for lining 34x14 stabiliser do I have them correct it seems like the outer fabric is smaller than the lining. Please help this beginner I've made one of your bags before and love your videos thanks in advance
Hi Debbie. This is the sort of bag I have been looking for to make but I would like a zip along the top. Is there any chance you could do a tutorial/bag with a zip. Thank you. Jane
The problem with FriXion ink is that it doesn't wash out and if you project gets cold (less than -10c or 14f) the ink reappears. Yes, you can iron the item again and the marks will disappear. But realize it can be an ongoing problem. ... You can do a test by putting a sample in your freezer. ❤🌅🌵
