THANK YOU....I"m in the middle of doing a dress for my daughter, 4 days to be exact and the vent has been driving me nuts, LOLOLOL....This is GREATTTTT.....You are a life saver.... Hugs
@Cascadia2011 Good luck finishing the dress and I'm happy to hear my video helped a little. Upload a photo of the finished article to my Sewingista Gallery on Facebook.
I have been trying to do this step.for 3 days now and can't coz I don't understand how to but your video and instructions are so clear. Thank you so much.
The newer video's now incorporate a microphone so the volume problem is rectified. Sadly, there's little I can do on the older video's but thank you for taking the time to point this out, and great that you've subscribed. Thank you.
@Zblj007 Thank you so much for the kind comment. The process your asking about is advanced and would be hard to put into words here. I may consider a video covering this technique at some future juncture. Thank you again.
I am having a really hard time with a vent right now, and I almost get it. I am watching your video a second time. I wish there was a faster step by step video to go with this, like, Step ONE, Step TWO, Step THREE, that I watch with my machine next to me.
i watched another video but it didn't show how to finish your seams because it was a lined skirt and i was afraid to notch above the vent after i've serged but this video clarified that that's OK. in the other video it also showed how to finish your hem since one side of vent will stay and the other will hv to be folded under but i got clarification on that too and you just have to sew the hem BEFORE folding under the vent and then blind hemming that portion. so, sometimes it helps to watch 3-5 videos then saving the ones that you can piece together to customize your need ;) THANK YOU for all your tutes @Colleen G Lea - FSBTV!
Hello Tammy DePlata. Sometimes it is easier to have bit size of information, to better understand what could be a tricky technique. Your approach to customising your learning is a good one. Thank you for commenting and the compliment.
Brava! Well done. You explain things simply, easily and w/o a lot of verbiage. Just the way I like it. Thank you for the enlightenment. P.S. Nice hands...
I have a question about adding lining. How would you attach the lining where the vent is? Specifically on the side that is on top and has the large fold. Good tutorial btw. Thank you.
At minute 3:03 you I notice that a red dot and keep sewing until the end. I like the seam joins the two pieces, and then at the end I see the opening, I can not entetender. will you you remove the stitching posteriorly. (Sorry for the English, remember that use the translator)
