Your lilies are such a nice color especially with the cushions.. I'm trying to look forward to some warmer weather so I can wear my summer dresses .. our weather has been about the same for 3 months...mostly cloudy with a bit of rain.. somewhat sunny... at 12 degrees to 18 degrees Celsius... we need some warmth out here..:(

Love your cherry chat and your cute sewing room. My space is so functional and ugly. My waist is only 4-5 inches smaller than hip and chest. Apple body never goes away, no matter how small you get.

The dress is lovely. I am making the pants in Butterick 6341 again. This time I am making two pairs of pants. The pattern fits me well. It has a side zipper. The pattern is from 1999.

Very pretty make! I have recently made this dress, and the jury is out. What are your thoughts on the "shelf bra"? As a 40DD, it is not useful to me! If I make the dress again, I will turn it into a facing. And I find I need the shoulder ties at their tightest so that the dress fits the best, otherwise the arm holes sag a bit and my bra is visible a bit under my arms. I used a tropical light jersey knit, like a double brushed poly. Next time I'll use something a bit heavier, if I return to this pattern.

I so LOVE that dress. Can it be made without the ties? Can you just sew it closed or would you not be able to get into it? I also love your cushions. I just totally enjoy bright floral prints, it just brings me joy.
