Nice that you had enough fabric to rescue the top to get it the way you want it and I hope you can rescue the paper cutter, too, although I was thinking it's still a great sturdy surface for something...I just don't know what - crafting of some sort? If I may make a suggestion: when JOann has 40% sale on Interfacing (or use your single cut fabric coupon), purchase a bolt of lightweight, non-fusible interfacing. It's easy to see thru (for tracing purposes) and imo, more durable than paper for tracing off patterns. All the best!)

Love the sweater! It's so cozy looking! Great finds on the estate sale, too! Nothings better than finding a cool vintage or out of print pattern at a decent price. same, they're quite pricey new so I knew it was a good deal! and what a shame about Joann's. They're so close to me that it would be such a bummer if they close as the next fabric shop (of preference) is 45 minutes away
