The birthday bunting idea would be so fun!! Just imagine, it'd be made of scraps from that year's projects, so it could hold memories of things you've made even if he outgrows them, they would be so easy to store because they're small and flat, and imagine taking them all out for his 18th birthday (or any other special time in his life) and having mementos from every year!! It would be such a cute and unique tradition

That bunting is absolutely adorable!! I love the idea of a medieval theme for a nursery, and the lettering is gorgeous -- I love the idea of pulling the flower colors in for that. What a cool embroidery machine!

My son is about 20 months and I'm just starting to make some woven clothes for him now, so I'm sure you'll be able to make something cute with that fabric later on if you'd like. Or maybe the lining of a little coat!

Your going to be such a good mama. I had not even seen my son yet...when I fell in love with my baby. He had the sweetest soft cry...and right then my heart grew and bloomed with love for this tiny child that is my son...he's 27 now but deep inside a mother's heart that first love stays. I like your idea of making a banner every birthday.😉. We went nuts buying toys and other little things from a cataloge that you could buy now, pay later. A big box arrived and we felt like Christmas had come early. Each and everything was well used. I was so sick all the while I carried him, that I had no thoughts of making things. But when he was old enough to trick or treat...I made his costumes. Soon your little one will be here. Rest up, those first weeks are pretty much sleepless, what with night feedings and gas.😊💟💖

Super cute! Good job. My son is 13 now, but his room and playroom theme as a baby was 'little prince,' and I had castles and dragons and all the cute medieval theme stuff. I still have all of his castle books and some of his wooden castle toys. They were so fun to play with him back in the day. Such fun memories!

I have a Brother SE425, which has an embroidery attachment for my sewing machine. I love it! I've embroidered shirts, made appliques for baby quilts, monogrammed bags, and so much more. It's really nice to personalize projects. I highly recommend a Brother sewing and embroidery machine.

I love your projects for the baby! As much as I'd love to have such a fantastic machine, I think that embroidery by hand gives different vibes and gives more satisfaction, although it's difficult and a very long process....

The bunting is so adorable!!! This was my son’s nursery theme; fantasy forest. It’s almost impossible to find fantasy themed baby stuff so I made quite a few things like his mobile. This makes me want to finally invest in an embroidery machine!

Before you go out and throw down $500 USD for this machine, you may want to do some research on it. If someone gave me one, I’d take it, but the reviews have been iffy, mostly having to do with the app and the $13 monthly subscription necessary to use Artspira. Sewing Report has a good review on it. It did make some really cute things, though!
