When teaching sewing lessons and during overcast days or in the winter, my students could do with better lighting. I invested in an external lamp previously but was not happy with it, so after more thorough research I bought the UnoLamp from The Daylight Company.
I am really pleased! The light comes with a plug (not a usb) and a good length cord. It is lightweight and very easy to move around but it is stable with any position of the lamp.
The arm of the light can be bent to your desired position. At certain angles it does shine a bit in the eyes, so I found that having it in front and to the right of the sewing machine gives the best lighting perspective.
There are 4 brightness settings of which even the first and second give excellent light and the other two settings are even brighter.
I will be using this often for my sewing, for classes and also for crafts.
