What? Even attaching the cuff? I’ve always put the iron-on Pelion on a fabric that I fold. I’ve already done it. I just came for a different method for the insert. Wow! We continually learn.

Great video for beginners like me sewing my first shirt. The McCalls pattern left me completely in the dark as far as making the sleeve vent. I think I've watched this about 15 times and I think I've got it. Personally, I think I've watched it about 5 times just for the tunes. Thanks for posting.

Wonderful video. Your method is so simple and easy to understand. These other videos about the placket and cutting a tower piece are so confusing and completely unnecessary. I love how you completed the sleeve cuff and everything. Please keep making these videos and sharing your knowledge!

Ok, so I waited until I've watched all other cuff/placket videos before commenting and I must say, this is by far the easiest/quickest method. I've followed along and sewed two perfect sleeves with plackets and cuffs. The only issue I had was not paying attention to which side of the placket overlaps, so both times I sewed them backwards, duh. But now I have the confidence to do many more, thank you sew much. 😉

Wow! I've watched several videos trying to figure this out. I've been making my grandson western shirts with one single pattern, but it is short sleeved. He now wants long sleeved ones for the cold weather. Instead of buying another pattern, you made this a simple way to create my own. Thank you so much.

Thank you, thank you! Those extra two tiny cuts at the top of the placket make so much difference! I’m making my first shirt and my sleeve cuffs were giving me agitation. Now I understand how it’s supposed to work!

Thank you! I’ve back-burnered a shirt project (my first) because the way the placket is constructed is really fiddly. I decided I needed to find a better way to do it.
