That's a cool design. I don't think, I've ever seen anything quite like it. It would make for a cool raincoat, too. If one made it a size too large, one could easily wear it over one's regular outerwear and still look fairly stylish. And most raincapes sold for that purpose do not look or fit very nicely.
Good job. I love that you have to stop mid sewing to Google what a narrow hem is I thought I was the only person who tries to tackle complicated patterns and then has to stop part way to look up to things 🤣😂🙏🏽💙.... how long did it take you to complete this project I have the same pattern I'm thinking about tackling it next
It took me about 3 weeks with uni and work! I would only sew during the daylight as I was recording this video, otherwise it can definitely be done in a couple of days!!!
The intended fabric is a thicker kind of wool, and the cape is very large so I doubt it can be vulnerable to the cold! It is also supposed to be worn on top of your outfit, so it’s for fashion but also is pretty practical. There aren’t armholes though!
Its basically a pinafore (the front part) and then a Cape (around my shoulders). Then both get tied around with the belt. It makes it really easy to move around in!!! The instructions are very clear and the process is super worth it 🥰
