I find a chair of the same high and quality as the doctor helpful when speaking about the human condition of mental health or the neurotic state of mind.
Touchy subject. The reason I haven’t left a comment as soon as you posted is because I was in the psych ward. You can just assume that from now on, for future reference. (SI)

Does it matter how prestigious a psychiatry residency program is? One just opened up in my hometown of Muscle Shoals Alabama. I think it would be nice to train in the place I plan to work and build my career.
Hi Benjamin, In my opinion prestige is not necessarily important; it is important to enjoy your residency training, to see a wide variety of patients, and to have a variety of good teachers. Peter Goertz
Potentially these are people who need a sense of security and safety- so it’s flattering they ask, but that sense of security that the psychiatrist may professionally provide could always be confused for sexual attraction.
Good subject. In my experience, I guess it can be more often present in cluster b patients. Sometimes, to excercise some kind of distance from the patient, in seeing the pt as a case, could be helpful.
I had a two year affair with my psychologist. I do NOT support this at all. There can never be consent from a patient because of the power imbalance. The psychologist died of a heart-attack at 62 after he was going to lose his license after I reported him to the licensing board AND got a lawyer demanding compensation for his unethical practices (in which I was compensated $80,000. I turned into an alcoholic at 50 over this. My whole RU-vid channel is about my experiences with unethical psychologists. And also I have several books I have written on the topic available on Amazon. I'm not sure about your state, but in many states this is a crime (a felony) punishable by JAIL!
@@SandraLeeWyllie This is what you said when you caused a heart attack and sued the man and took his savings. Sick. Not that you have any empathy nor sympathy.
