It would have been nice if this discussion had acknowledged that sexual harassment, especially at the lower end of the scale, affects both sexes.
@uhegbu

Of course it does but I envy women more than men because of society's stupidity. Society thinks they are incapable of doing anything in life but I am the complete opposite, they are capable of doing anything even committing crimes. Society including myself have a lot to answer for to punish female perpetrators proper punishments because we as a human race are not setting a good example.

BBC's Call You and Yours did a similar discussion in 2017 and the male caller wondered whether a lot of women because they have been harassed go on to harass others even their own gender as a form of revenge. I say yes, same with male perpetrators.

Kat's right the woman should be the one to approach the man, show interest in the man and ask the man on a date. Then the man would not have to do the approach and risk 'being a rapist'. After 6 million years of men doing all the work we need some equality. The women need to sort this out. Get off your lazy arses take the initiative.
@Spore9996
@Spore9996 6 лет назад
James Grey Yeah, some equality would be nice right about now. I have a generally scary manner because I'm tall and don't typically show much emotion on my face, so the last time I tried talking to a woman at a bar she reeled back in shock clutching her belongings to her. I mean, can I just not get treated like a fucking boogeyman?
@asianhippy
@asianhippy 6 лет назад
So what you are saying is that women should sexually harass men. What I mean by that is that if a man shows interest in a woman, that is, by feminists, perceived as sexual harassment so if the roles are reversed the harassment is still there but this time instigated by women.

Why are sexual harassment debates (almost always) framed as if women are the only people who can experience it? I know that men are more often than not the ones doing the harassing, but that doesn't really justify framing the "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" argument as if it's a given that the woman is the victim.

Men, never ever talk to a woman unless it is absolutely necessary such as to conduct a commercial transaction or to accomplish a work-related task. Do not initiate a conversation with a woman in a social situation. If a woman talks to you first in a social situation, you then may speak to her, but don't assume that you can initiate future conversations with her. Do not ask women on dates. Ever. Date women only through third party introductions such as mutual friends i.e. blind dates, or through dating services. Do your best to never look at a woman for any reason. Wear sunglasses. All of these things can be interpreted by a woman as sexual harassment.

Both sexes need to improve how we act around sex, we've all got to get better at talking about sex, asking for consent and making clear whether something is okay. Understanding the different types of relationships (sexual and non sexual) We all have throughout our lives and what is appropriate in different circumstances. If you're not sure ask, or keep your hands to yourself.

Hi. I don't like sex. At all. The problem with lumping all men into a monolith and saying that society has taught them all that they could have sex whenever is that when one guy says "not only do I not like sex, but I want to do whatever my beloved wants" it shatters the lie you are trying to make. I don't want to do anything my beloved doesn't want. She has done so much for me even though I am very nervous through all of it. I've dated her for nearly five years and I've only recently become comfortable starting a kiss without asking first. At her behest. I went to public school. I live in the fifth most populous city in the United States, Phoenix, Arizona. On this little pebble of ours, we all must coexist as peacefully as possible. We can't demonize entire demographics because they happened to be born "wrong." I'm so sorry I was born a straight white cis male. But unfortunately, I can't change that fact, now can I?

I've noticed a pattern in stalker/ sexual harrassing men who- once they know a beautiful woman has rejected them, become hostile, stalk them calling them names and putting their looks down trying to get the woman to believe the man is in their league. Its abuse and its wrong- this is where it gets scary and rape can happen.

I thought the video was suppose to be about sexual harassment not sexual assault (rape) touching someone’s thigh without their consent is inappropriate behavior and should not be tolerated, those 2 women are saying women should just suck it up if they’re touched without consent, because “i got touched and i live, so you should too”. how about working towards a more civilized society where people have respect for others and don’t touch others inappropriately without their consent. no touching a hand is not rape, still doesn’t make inappropriate touching without consent ok. and women being strong doesn’t mean they should tolerate inappropriate touching without consent, it’s just basic respect you should not inappropriately touch others without consent

Harassment can happen to anybody regardless of gender, ethnicity, etc. I am getting the feeling now that women want superior rights, not equal rights but I can guarantee that it will backfire on them. You made a decision, you suffer the consequence. I think society is just as bad as the perpetrators. Favouring women's rights over human rights. Human rights to me means male and female regardless of age, ethnicity, able, less able, etc.

Sexual abuse is not a crime with preset sex rôles. As an hermaphrodite who has suffered extreme violation in this area, who has close male colleagues who have likewise suffered such abuses at the hands of women & men, I can testify firsthand to the fallacy of the belief that sexual crimes are only committed by men against women. Women abuse men & boys & those like me of the 3rd sex, & so on & forth. Statistical data on this issue is hard to come by in accurate form, as victims of all sexes underreport; However there are many reasons to suspect that the abuse rates by & of men, women, & hermaphrodites, are approximately equal; Avaible data actually tends to put people of my sex at the number 1 place of abuse in this area, above women in number of victims. But regardless of the proportions, the fact remains that this is a human problem, not a gendered problem; & that is the main problem with this modern feminist school of thought with its falsely staggered graduations of victims' importance.

I don't see that many men have much power these days. although, of course, there are a lot of awful men among groups who weld all the power, along with a lot of awful women. Sexism does go both ways. Labelling all men as toxic is not the answer and is indeed sexist. Disempowering men only creates bitterness and anger, and we should know where those feelings can lead. A lot of violence comes from young men feeling powerless. No, women alone will not change the world. We should all change the world together but that will require putting aside ideology and division and respecting every person as a sacred being with limitless potential. Otherwise I fear those men and women welding the power and leading us on a merry dance will change it for us, as, indeed, they are well on the path to doing.In case you haven't noticed , they have been doing their utmost for decades to push their bleak bland vision on us all culminating in the disastrous dismantling of democracy over the past 3+ years. Stand up to them young feminist if you want to make the world safer. Do you not realise that the recent abuse levelled at citizens (and in particular at children) by governments was carried out quite happily by both men and women. Instead of blaming fellow powerless individuals and incentivising victimhood we need to arm people with the tools to be assertive and courageous...and to be able to cut through the BS and recognise propoganda

We are all one society, which has existed for thousands of years and there have always been certain rules that governed the life of society. I believe that by the 21st century humanity has developed enough to speak about the equality of everyone and everything (which in fact has never been and never will be), and what is happening now, in my opinion, separates us-miserable political squabbles in developed countries between left LGBT people and feminist communities and "patriarchy with its traditional values and stegmatic male behavior" while our planet and people are in third world countries really suffer. This whole issue in Westminster is rather insidious it came out of nowhere, basically after the Hollywood scandal media realised that this kind of thing could be weaponised and boy have they done a great job. Problems in Hollywood and parliament are unique to these small places and do not represent real world human to human contacts and so to opportunistically extrapolate this to the general public is truly the height of moral panic. Yes there is a problem but nothing quite common sense solutions could solve like no alcohol on the premises for starters. This feminist has nothing of any substance to say, I was once pretty pro woman via feminism at least I had a sympathy for this type of world view but it has morphed into quite a puritanical and joyless movement that is actually pretty dangerous for all parts of society. Brendan O'Neil is correct that the first wave of feminists would be rolling in their graves with what this fourth wave are up to, they are bonkers. Interesting article by Laura Perrins conservative journalist has described this as some form of coup, read it and see if you agree, I think she is onto something. It is fair to say that strange things are happening in Westminster, common purpose uk coming out of the shadows but not many people have broken out of this brainwashed mindset. A mad world.

God those two women are shameful. No one is saying that rape is the same thing as squeezing the knee of a woman you don’t know but just that they come from the same sense of entitlement. It’s not rocket science to work that out. And many women can handle quite well themselves in the face of harassment but that doesn’t mean they should have to.

Joanne Watts that is exactly what is being taught these days. Men don't touch girls in any way shape or form but not one conversation is happening in the reverse.

"but they come from the same sense of entitlement". They don't. Men who rape know that they're commiting a crime. You can't put that on a the same continuum as making a pass at them.

Yes you should have too. The fact that women think they shouldn't have to defend themselves shows who's really entitled and stupid at that. They don't want to be responsible for anything. REPLY

You speak of a mans sense of entitlement and then turn around and say women should not have to defend themselves from harassment? Did you manage to type all of that hypocrisy with a straight face?

Funny these same bitches will writes thousands of articles complaining why men don't approach women as much as they used to. Or the classic "Where have all the good/real men gone?" Is there any surprise men are going mgtow?

Joanna Williams methodically pulls apart the feminist nonsense with rational argument. Nice to see the feminist outnumbered for a change too. Normally they get some whacky old guy surrounded by raging man haters, including the interviewer.
