I hated her the whole movie except for this one. This is the only part of the movie where her character actually feels like a real person and not a character playing extra dumb for a movie. HOWEVER, I don't blame the actor mostly on this scene alone. It's so great. The direction is at fault here in my opinion. Is like the director went you're dumb so like put a straw up your nose lol

Agreed literally the only reason I don’t like the movie is that is that it isn’t as pumpy as the broadway

I almost screamed in the theater, I was so happy, but I didn't want to scare the people next to me. Btw, I think they came in not being familiar with the Broadway show and were just curious. They were laughing throughout the movie and after it was over, one girl said "That was actually good!"

@@AlexeBriand2002 No, technically speaking the OG line was just "I'm a mouse, duh" which then then changed to "I'm a sexy mouse" in the stage musical before reinstating the "duh" here, so I see this as a lyric change that happens to reference the original :)

that’s actually my least favorite line change. the original line points out the issues with neoliberal feminism “promoting” that woman should work harder in more difficult positions whilst adhering to more difficult standards. i think this is considered one of the lowkey super important insights that most of them don’t realize. the new line is more like “oh look i’m hot and i can run the world” which negates the whole idea of the song being these standards of hotness that karen is forced to be yearly. she enjoys halloween because it’s the one day that the hotness is not dehumanizing but connected to what she wants. is you read the whole thing my bad for the feminist rant🫡

I love the change to a more EDM feel, the original was TOO Broadway lol, idk how to explain it, but still fun when I’m in the mood, but I am OBSESSED with the new one! I hate when tv randomly mentions/forces in feminism and stuff, but I do love the way Avantika pronounces it, so I still like it regardless

The videos was just an added visual I placed to the make it more appealing to viewers, I legit could've just placed a photo if i wanted too, but decided to do this instead. I originally was going to do the full screen side by side instead of cropping both videos, i just did this to fill the screen tbh, and thought it turned out okay

@@meatrubber2 Also, the way it's sung really annoys me for some reason. She has musical talent, don't get me wrong, but it just bugs me how they decided to change the music. Especially considering Tina Fey had a massive part in producing the movie adaptation of the musical.
