Weekend in Seychelles means it is time for another adventure. Down in the South of Mahe, the main Island of Seychelles and home to the smallest capital in the world, Victoria, there is a hidden rock pool right next to the Indian Ocean. To get to the Rock Pool you will first have to make your way to Anse Takamaka. It is a scenic drive all the way down from the North of Mahe, driving past beach after beach and the forest with all the sights and sounds that Seychelles has to offer. Once there you better put on your hiking shoes! Well, it isn't really necessary, I have done the hike barefoot before, but rather wear some sort of comfortable shoes. safety first you know. The hike will take you more or less 30 minutes to get to the granite rock formations where you will find the Rock Pool. The pool is hidden, so you will have to look around for it a bit, but don't be an idiot about it and fall into the ocean and spoil all the fun for the rest of us. During rough seas and high tide the waves crash into the pool, so it might be better to go during low tide.
