Tom thanks for doing the video - I bought my drill off Ray 5 yrs ago at the Midwest Scrollsaw & I now know how to maintain the drill - thanks for all the tips you gave on how to adjust the drill w / tie wraps etc - I don’t drill as many holes as you do but I have had surgeries on both hands & I’m currently recovering from my 4th shoulder surgery - so your tips on how to adjust the drill w/ about 1/8” above the wood is really going to help me out a lot w/ drilling holes w/minimal effort-it was great to finally get to meet you & take a class w/You this past August at the Midwest Scrollsaw Show , thanks again Bill Miller
Tom, my friend, just discovered your channel. Surprise...surprise!! I currently am using Dremel plunge router as you mentioned and have had good results. I also did some maintenance on the pillars when they began to show wear. I removed them and rotated them so they had fresh points of contact. Cured the sticking problem.
Eventually the tower will need flipped over once very worn for sure. As mentioned I also used Dremel but for my fret work so close and tiny to each other I was unable to consistently keep my holes straight and was too fast , again sometimes depends on project. Good to see ya here Randy
