Chun-Li jHP-HP Fuzzy Overhead Setup + Fuzzy 5HK Setup
jHP-HP is the most advantageous jump normal in the entire game, on hit and on block
up to +15 on block, +20 on hit
instant rising jHK/jLP fuzzy overhead
fuzzy 5HK forced high block
you can also use this for stun combos to avoid combo drops:

I know that there’s a lot of text that you have you pause to read, but editing has been challenging; since these longer tech guides take hours to make, I try to format them for RU-vid and Twitter at the same time. This means that I have to work around the 140 second video limit that Twitter has. I have considered getting the blue checkmark to bypass the limit so I can make my guides longer and easier to read, but I don’t want to give money to a certain man-child with an overinflated ego... If you have any thoughts on the matter I would appreciate if you shared. At $8, the cost is certainly not an issue, it’s just the principle behind it of paying for Twitter Verification… If you guys think I should just go for it, I can just pull the trigger and pay up.

im getting it to work if the opp doesn’t wake up with a crouching button… maybe the button negate the standing frames on wakeup?

@@audiyoo Hi! This is actually due to an annoying issue with SF6’s training mode dummy. When you set the dummy to crouch, it’ll wake up standing and then switch to crouch frame 1, instead of just waking up while crouched. You can test this by making the dummy do the setup on you and holding down back on wake up. Im not sure why it’s like this tbh haha.

I respect, and agree, with your principle. Keep your money!

I can’t get the meaty target combo to land. Any tips?

Hi! The two things I would say is make sure the training dummy is set to stand, and to pretty HP-HP immediately right when you feel like you hit the top of your jump arc. It’s likely just a timing situation, so once you get the feel for it, it should be pretty doable. If it’s still not working, you could try showing me a clip of you trying it and we can figure out what’s going on!

do you know how to make MP->2HP>stanceHK work? I’ve seen other chuns do it but it always whiffs for me
@ahnixcreations

Do you mean DR 5MP 4HP stanceHK? That only works on crouching opponents because crouching expands your hurtbox.

Trying my best to understand but I'm new to fighting games so bear with me. Is the premise of this "fuzzy" setup that you're forcing the opponent into a situation where despite blocking low, their character is forced to stand due to the block-stun of jHP-HP leading to a guaranteed, fast enough high attack (5HK, jHK on tall characters, etc) every time? This of course leading into a number of character-dependent mix-up situations? If "fuzzy" refers to forced mix-up situations would the fuzzy be whatever you follow up with after jHP-HP?

You're totally fine! Some of this fighting game jargon gets real confusing, real quickly. "fuzzies" in fighting games generally refers to two types of situations, and I'll try to break it down here: 1) the situation that this video is referring to is that when you're in blockstun, you are locked into the character state that you blocked the move in, whether it be crouching or standing. This allows for certain moves, such as Chun-Li standing heavy kick or rising jump heavy kick to connect, whereas it would normally whiff against a crouching opponent. The 5HK setup is universal against the entire cast, but the jLP and jHK only work against tall characters. So "fuzzy" here refers to the state that the opponent is in, where they are holding crouch on their controller after blocking the jump in, but their character model still stays standing until either the blockstun ends or they block/get hit by a different move. 2) another definition of "fuzzy" refers to when you do different inputs with different timings, like "fuzzy block" or "fuzzy jump." For example, if you're blocking a safe jump, you would block standing, but at the timing where your opponent would land, you switch to crouch blocking in case they try to empty low. With "fuzzy jump," a lot of fighting games like Guilty Gear, Dragon Ball, and Street Fighter 3rd Strike have a few frames on wakeup where you CAN'T be grabbed, so the premise is that you block for a few frames, and then input a jump so that you would block a meaty normal but also evade a throw attempt. While all of this may seem very confusing, there is one bit of good news. Infil made an incredible fighting game glossary, so whenever you run into terms that you're unfamiliar with, you can plug it in and it will usually have a great explanation for whatever definition you need help with: glossary.infil.net/ Please let me know if you have any other questions!

@@ahnixcreations Thanks a lot for the thorough explanation! Your explanation makes perfect sense to me aside from one detail. At 0:14 when Chun blocks 5HK she is crouching. I don't understand how this is possible if she is supposed to be stuck in standing block-stun. I thought that's how the follow-up jLP on Deejay and jHK on JP, Gief, and Mariza was possible -- forced stand block. Could you explain this?
