Matthew Stratton i don't get a) people who cry for nerfs, joker doesn't need one. at all. he's a very well balanced character with a very high skill ceiling. leo is the only consistently top placing joker rn. he's clearly not broken. and b) people who think leo will all of a sudden just fall off if joker doesn't get nerfed. he can play multiple characters at that level, and it wouldn't affect him nearly as much as people think it would. and c) why people don't root for marss i love my pj boy
@@lxvi2441 a) Joker may be well balanced but not arsene, the ease of which you get it, combined w hit box size increase, kill power, etc. makes it as strong as smash4 limit which was nerfed b) almost no one thinks that but you are right c) its a mexican tournament so ofc the audience at the venue will root for leo; p much everyone else was happy for marss tho as shown in the comments. Did you miss that?

Yeah, tbh Leo played so well but the fact that he had to play 2 bad mu with joker and that Marss is getting better at zss and at playing Leo made Leo lost for the first time ever on Mexico.

This is gunna be remembered as a historic moment in Smash Ultimate and the commentary was great. I’m just happy I was alive and aware of the circumstances. New to competitive smash, but the significance of this ain’t lost on me.
I mean in most competitive games they have a commentator and an analyst. One talks more about the game itself and the other focuses more on analysing decisions, player/team history, win conditions etc.

Mkleo may be the best, and I know it sucks to have your favorite player get beat. But I don't think I've ever seen him be disrespectful to his opponents. I really respect him for that! Also super thankful that the awesome commentator with the accent enunciated every word really well so it was very easy to understand him. The mark of any great commentator!
it's honestly sad. you can't win every game in smash, or else you get harassed by the community like zero was in sm4sh. this was a great set and all, but I can't also help but feel worried about mkleo and how the community is against him and saying that joker is broken and all that. it must have been hard for him too. what I hope for is that the shit that happened to zero doesn't happen to anyone else in the pro scenes. absolutely amazing set though, congratulations to both players, and congrats to marss for winning!
There's a point where people realize Joker isn't definitively top 1, and that Mkleo makes the character pretty interesting. So a lot players actually missed watching Leo's Joker.
This is a historical set. Next year, Leo has to retake the throne. It also represents the rivalry here and Marss first big win(s) over Leo’s amazing Joker

Tienes razón en ese último punto, a lo que me refiero con "roto" es cuando invoca a Arsene, si te fijas bien, Joker tiene ataques muy buenos y balanceados, pero al momento de que sale Arsene se potencia de sobremanera e incluso se nota que Marss es muy precavido en ese momento

I'm only able to successfully do it with Palutena (with whom the timing is possibly a bit more strict because of how little aerial momentum she gets while doing it) like 1% of the time, and this madman pulls up and does it in Winners Finals against none other than MkLeo. He's been my favourite player to watch since he beat Samsora in Let's Make Moves but this beyond ratifies it.
I love Keitaro as a comentator, he helps the viewer get immersed in the match and better understand and appreciate what is happening. The other commentator however, was just very distracting and often hard to understand.

What the hell is happening? I'm actually enjoying a game of 2 high tiers? But I'm a Smash hipster! If it's high tier then it's brainless and boring... right? This is why I'm so happy with Ultimate. Not only is it better balanced but even the characters that still come out on top you have to appreciate the skill cieling of.

@@bootoffline6927 there's definitely more pressure when you're playing at home, Pretty much any mexican smash player wanted him to win because we were hosting the tournament but marss had got a lot better and he deserved the victory. Let's wait for Evo and we will see how much this "pressure" thing had to do with the results
Shit. This better not stop them from nerfing joker. Marss has to play so much harder to win. He needs gimps while Leo has a guaranteed Arsene every stock and doesn’t even get knocked back far enough without arsene. Wtf joker is still broken. What other character has a guaranteed charge up. Plus what character even has a charge even close to being as good as arsene? Samus’s ball? Donkey Kong’s punch? Inkling’s ink? Cloud? Arsene makes other charge ups look like shit but it’s also the easiest to charge.
