It’s always good to look back. Even when I am happy with how things turned out I will want to change it up. Sometimes I want more and sometimes I want less or I just see other thing I want to try.
Thanks for sharing; and giving us inspirational tidbits! Always look forward to your posts as you always get me going. It comes a time when you have to pace yourself to get it all done.
Joe, please do the branches on outside front door again. That's always my favorite decor. See that's kind of simple but elegant. I like the use of the twigs and pinecones from your yard. Everything you do is so special and beautiful for us.
Looking forward to what comes out of your planning for this year. Remember Joe that we are always evolving in our tastes but I see lots of ideas all the time with your decor. I had to scale back considerably last year due to my husband’s health issues as he was my muscle. Now I do much smaller vignettes that I can retweak every season. They don’t have quite as much wow factor but I’m still able to enjoy seasonal decorating. Thanks for sharing where you were and where you might be heading. I’ll be watching☺️!!!:):):)

I loved your front porch last year and your window! I mean everything you do looks fantastic but I get trying to make it more simple given all you do for Christmas! I did chuckle at hearing you say you were going to go more minimal 😂 can’t wait for it all to begin! 🧡🍁🍂
I look back every season, in addition to checking past posts saved in my RU-vid lists, your past posts especially, holiday scrapbooks, old magazines, etc. Certain things I repeat, after a fashion, and tailored to my current digs. Other images spark new ideas. Still others let me revisit a past I cherish but have outgrown. I love every moment of it. I have kept most decorating things from forever, even homemade items that only have meaning to me and bring back full-fledged memories that might otherwise be buried deep in my subconscious. I have a friend who couldn’t be more diffeent in this regard. If she had her way she’d get rid of everything I own that she can’t understand. To the extent that she can, she has, actually under the guise of “helping.” She considers herself a minimalist, I suppose, and worries that I have become a hoarder in the intervening years since we met long ago when neither of us had a so-called pot (etc.) to our names. I love her like crazy but I wish she could accept that we simply have very different taste.. This woman even tosses what many of us would revamp as leftovers, while I don’t even waste ice! I don’t understand why minimalists assume that everyone would be happier living like they do if we weren’t too clutter- befuddled to know how to get there. In my view those “get rid of eleventy-seven pieces of that nasty clutter of you don’t need” nazis have Motel Six taste, regardless of budget. Or maybe “model home” is a nicer way to describe the way it looks to me. Oops, didn’t mean this to be a rant of a blog post 🙃. I simply wanted to say how much I adore everything you do and how lucky you both are to have found a mate who shares your taste - and how lucky I am that you share it with those of us who appreciate it)
Nice catching up with you. I guess we each must do what makes us happy and not worry about what people say. I'm over that. I want to say to them .... mind your business..... and do what makes us happy..right? Right!!
Like you I am getting my fall decor ready. I am making two fall trees made out of large pots and using metal vine trellis's. I'm wrapping the in fall leaf garland and all kinds of pick flowers etc. and lights of course! I think they will look nice on the front porch! Love your videos Joe!!!
Thanks for showing us last year. Everybody’s tastes change. You get better as you go I think you age and your taste change. The cascading is a little over the top for me. I agree. I’m gonna try to do a little more simple myself, and I’m actually gonna try to incorporate less orangeif I can, but I have so much I don’t know how I’m gonna do it.
Hi, Joe Long time no comment. It's that time of year again. Exciting stuff ahead. I'm really looking forward to Autumn this year. If you remember, I've been in Florida for many years and always longing for cooler temperatures and the real feel of the holidays. Well, Jesus answered my prayers. I'm now in Tennessee and I'll finally get to experience Autumn the way it's truly meant to be seen and felt. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create this year.
