Parlare per farsi capire è una cosa, parlare bene è tutta un'altra. Però quando senti la frase con i tempi giusti dei verbi ti rendi conto che suonano bene. C'è veramente bisogno di parlare, parlare, parlare con chi sa bene la lingua, sbagliare e ancora parlare finché non ti entra nell'orecchio la naturale costruzione delle frasi. Grazie Joe

Veramente tutto dipende dalla testa. Io in 16 anni negli US ancora parlo l'Inglese maccheronico e faccio una marea di errori. I miei errori sono così ridicoli da far ridere i polli!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Giuro! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hi Sara, so am I italian. I just lived in the UK for a year and half, even tho my english is no longer fluent and spontaneous as a while back. Since when I left off the GB and I came back to Italy my english went automatically downhill and after that I didn’t have any opportunity to come back in the GB, too many troubles to handle with, however I just hope to skim down again, before these sneaky ones won’t block the airports and flights with that.

Ho provato a fare questo esercizio, diciamo che non è andato troppo male. Pensavo peggio, e poi mi sono anche divertita. X me sono state molto utili queste frasi. Ah ah , verissimo, stessa cosa anche per me, sicuramente capiamo e riusciamo a farci capire, anche bene, ma per uno di madrelingua inglese dev'essere uno strazio sentirci parlare, almeno dal punto di vista grammaticale. Però per noi è più facile capire e correggerci che non per chi comincia da zero.

Ciao Joe, ho trovato gli esercizi non facili, ma molto utili per capire gli errori e soprattutto dove migliorare! In tutte le frasi del video avevo sempre l'idea di cosa dire, ma commettevo comunque degli errori legati ai tempi verbali. Ti seguo da poco, ma il tuo canale era proprio ciò che mi serviva: i tuoi video sono davvero molto utili per imparare l'inglese, di nuovo, e passare da un livello scolastico a qualcosa di più "vero"! Buonasera Joe, condivido tutto! studio ancora le regole grammaticali perchè, è vero, quando si fa pratica rivedere le regole le rende più chiare. Vale per ogni arte o disciplina. grazie per i tuoi stimoli. Ps: la preposizione "ne" significa "di questo"..cioè "ne vuoi un pò?" -->" vuoi un pò di questo?"(tè in questo caso)..si usa anche in francese...viene dal latino

Il "ne" in "Ne vuoi un po'?" è un pronome con funzione, in questo caso, di complemento partitivo (dove "un po' " è il complemento oggetto e "ne" sta per "di té"). Va utilizzato obbligatoriamente quando il complemento oggetto non è esplicitato, perché "volere" è un verbo transitivo. In "Ne vuoi?", per esempio, "ne" ha la funzione di complemento oggetto.

Joe, innanzitutto grazie. Ti prego voler spesso replicare questi quiz che trovo molto utili ed oltremodo divertenti. Ho risposto correttamente a cinque delle tue dieci frasi. Quindi maluccio..ma non mi arrendo tanto facilmente. Pur avendo 65 anni, essendo in pensione, ho tutto il tempo a disposizione per studiare. Grazie per le spiegazioni a fine frase... appena non capivo il perché di una parola piuttosto di un'altra... subito arrivava la tua spiegazione (es. differenza tra many/much information! 👍😉 etc...), chiara ed esaustiva!! Thank you for this video Jo. I have few questions about some sentences, which I'm gonna mark with # (as well as you did): #1: when it comes to the question can we say "do you want some of it?". Actually, "of it" would translate our Italian "ne" #3: in this case I can see you are using the article, but I translated without. It's difficult sometimes to understand when the article should be there, even though I watched your video about the article... 😅 #5: can we use dress instead of wear? #6: can we use fall down instead of collapse? #7: shouldn't we use "already" or "yet" in this sentence? #8: "be going to" instead of "shall" is a mistake in this case? #10: can we also use "within" vs "by"? Hope you will answer my doubts. Thanks!

Hello! #1 - no we wouldn’t say ‘of it’ #5 - no - get dressed is the action of putting clothes on. #6 - no. Fall down has a different meaning... fall down could be accidental and therefore you could get up... collapse is when you are not able to continue #7- it doesn’t matter - optional #8 - yes - It’s a Mistake #10- by = a point in the future... next week Within = a period if time... 1 week So in this case we can’t

Aiuta a perfezionare la lingua, perché quando si parla, magari certe frasi ed espressioni cerchi di evitarle e si cerca di trovare la soluzione più facile e veloce , ma con queste frasi ti aiuta a sforzarti a pensare frasi più complesse e ad allargare la propria mente!! Ci sono alcuni tuoi video che mi fanno sentire una cacca... che evidenziano tutte le mie lacune e la mia pochezza in fatto di grammatica inglese ma... dopo aver visto come parla Paul Gascoigne all'Isola dei famosi (e comunque è simpatico e fa ridere col suo italiano maccheronico), ho qualche speranza!! Un disastro! ne ho azzeccata solo una...tradurre dall'italiano all'inglese è sempre stato il mio punto debole...ma continuando a guardare i tuoi video sono sicuro che migliorerò anche questo aspetto

Buongiorno Joe, oltre all'inglese riusciamo a vedere anche tanti dettagli della lingua italiana, grazie alle tue spiegazioni. Ho trovato il video utilissimo e malgrado alcune lacune, sono riuscita a tradurre le frasi abbastanza bene. I verbi "make" and "give" vengono usati molto spesso e mi causano dei problemi....cerco sempre di sostituirli con altri verbi! Grazie per le tue lezioni sempre interessanti! Sandra dalla Svizzera

I ve studied English just for five years -secondary and high school- then I started to translate lyrics to understand more about the songs I loved. During the university I had lots of friends from all over the world so sometimes we chatted in English and sometimes in Italian ot Spanish or Portuguese 🤣...it was like been in Babylon but it was very fun and cute. Now I realize how my passion for languages has been important! 7/10 🤟proud of me! Thank you 🙏 you are a great teacher (and I love your glasses)
