To be fair, the only thing in common with these games is that they are games. So they aren't really competing.

A Very Disappointed Red Engineer the truth is yes they are just games, but they are games both from series well beloved by fans all over for their own thing. Usually when you see the latest version of a old time favorite go against another old times favorite it usually ends up as a dick measuring competition. So to see both communities come together and support each other regardless of who will sell more or which one is better is so refreshing.

Personally, I'm pretty burned out by this whole thing. True, they share the same release date, but the basic difference is that Doom is fast paced and gory and Animal Crossing is lighthearted and cartoonish.

@@dr.velious5411 snap maps is the tool built into the game which allows you to create and play custom maps for the game, which is the only way I can think of to do what your describing in your original comment. From what I've heard, doom eternal won't have this feature for whatever reason, but maybe there will be another way to do it with mods or something? idk

@@bowlofpasta8846 Nobody expected or needed Sonic to be an Academy award winner. As far as video game movies are concerned, it did a lot better than the vast majority of films associated with it, which is more than you could ask for really. As for BoP/HQ it had a lot working against it on top of already being a bad film. 1. It's a DCEU film. People expect these movies to be bad, so they're not going to bother. Being a spinoff/sequel to one of their worst films didn't help. 2. It started off being labeled a BoP film. Most people who aren't familiar with them don't care. 3. It poorly represented the characters as they're known to actual fans and drove them away. 4. The R rating took away the child and young adult audience. It didn't have a big name like Joker or Deadpool to give it a boost. And no, nobody would have seen Joker if it was related to this.
