Not playing SFIV competitively is honestly one of the biggest mistakes of my life, in hindsight. I was so addicted and into UMvC3 that the thought of playing USFIV competitively, even to prepare for SFV, never crossed my mind. And now I'm sad I never got to play it like that. If I did, I'd play either Yun or C. Viper.

I can see how awesome the FGC could be if it was like old school wrestling. We just need like a league. Where you have a week in between every show, you know your opponent. You HAVE to cut a promo on your opponent to be played prior to the match. Those who can't talk well get a manager to do it for them. Mika even already has run ins and dirty finishes 😂. I feel like SF4 was easy mode. It was so easy to confirm and play on defense. Especially with focus attacks making almost everything safe. People complain so much about SF5 but I honestly think it’s the better of the two. I don’t like that some of the hit boxes in 5 are wonky but I feel it’s more balanced the 4 was.

If sfv had jun and sean it would be my game, but so far they are missing lots of cool characters and they are running out of time before sfvi. Hopefully we get cool last characters to at least close sfv nicely, instead of just being a shitty star and finish

SF4 was a great game. it had a wonderful balance of gimmicks and funny dumb crap, (Blanka, El Fuerte, sakura, dan) solid defensive play that paid off and made defense very strong, (elena, guile, rose, ryu, evil ryu) very strong stupid offensive characters(yun, cammy, akuma, seth) and amazing grapplers that actually made you AFRAID to be close to them (zangief, hakan, abel) It had something for everyone. Literally, Cody players were happy, balrog players were happy, ryu players loved ryu (the games flagship character wasnt garbage tier) yun players rejoiced, gief players loved playing gief, and everyone felt like they had choices. SF5 honestly still just lacks diversity. You can pick any character in the game and regardless who it is, you want to get in close, hit buttons, and do setups and stuff. The characters dont offer individuality and it forces you to play ONE playstyle. its super annoying. Chip kills were super important and felt rewarding too. if you played smart all game and had that positioning to get the chip kill, you earned it and deserved it. Removing chip kills is probably one of the dumbest things the FGC has ever done lol
