The true hero. Good use of v-trigger to punish the EX Boom and input the demon so the move comes out as the v-trigger animation ends and catches guile in recovery.
That was amazing. I'm an old school fan, played since arcade SF2, but I haven't SFV. This is the first video I've seen that made this game really look like Street Fighter and not just constant rushdown, shimmies, and V trigger comebacks. This was pure Street Fighter at it's finest, they way the game was meant to be played. If they actually make some improvements to the game overall with the next updates, I may just have to buy a PS4 and play it.
SF Arcade Edition will be great! All 28 characters, Arcade Mode included, 2 V-Triggers, and it's only $40. I bought SFV day one and even though I can't play it often (not many people play SFV in my area, and online mode in SEA sucks balls), I still enjoy watching tournaments and videos like this. Definitely gonna play again once they bring back that Arcade Mode.
That flash kick anti air at the end was extraordinarily fast, to think he would pull something like that off....and online no less, daigo is truly a beast, always was, always will be
I think he was just preparing for that like the match against Kazunoko in a recent tournament. Just some slight movement and the flash kick. Crazy nonetheless how he was just so ready for that!
Get the fuck out of here. Every round was so fucking close till the very end, Jesus Christ! This was easily one of the best matches I have seen Daigo play with Guile period....
jeez guys can we just acknowledge that this was a great fight between two Street Fighter legends. They both picked characters that they can be strong with, and I can understand that, having played fighting games with everywhere from top tier characters to the bottom of the bargain bin, just because I was strong with them. Just because your favorite lost, or you hate Akuma becuase he’s “broken,” doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this.
I’ve watched this now a few times over and IMO this is one of the most exciting matches of SFV on RU-vid... as long as u don’t mind all the SONICBOOM, SONICBOOM....lol. Actually that’s not a criticism, Guile is totally dependent on it to set up distance. Ryu or ken can get by w/o the fireball using footsies/normals.
I like the stage. I'm all about more serious and dark stages. This one reminds me of Birdie's alpha 3 stage. Also the lighting looks great especially on Akuma
What a great set! Never getting bored of these two battling each others. Also I love that first stage you use. Looks great and the dark atmosphere makes it look intense! Inb4 random shit comments about Daigo below.
10:53 SR3?! That ost got slept on for being experimental but there are some tracks that are god tier (Fuze being one of them). And of course the set was really good:P
From the ending we learnt that Daigo has indeed improved in SFV: he'd loved to take risks in some ocassions when he felt needed. He seldom did that in SF4.
As much as i hate fighting good guiles this was a really good set and nice music choices xuses the only thing i wish u did was let the low critical part of the destroyed lap part play at the end it would have been so perfect lol
Watches around 6 mins so far. Is it me or Daigo didn't hit hard enough on the anti airs? Not the ones with the kick but the ones where he punched Tokido, he never followed up and just tried to low kick sometimes. Doesn't Guile offer a follow up? I'm asking because I've been playing for some months but I'm still new and don't understand pros that well yet
I wonder why Daigo doesnt use Akuma as he's more similar to E.Ryu/Ryu right? Or does he not one to use whos OP/strong in SFV? I'm a complete scrub so pls be kind
Why is daigo waking up with a sonic boom? I only see him do that against akuma or maybe its just tokido's akuma is there a reason for him to that and why he only does against tokido?
Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom Sonic Boom.... yeah going back to watch Tekken Tournaments
Damn! That was good from both sides! Tokido was really fukkin him up in the 1st half of the vid...thought it was gonna just be a "Tokido wreckin' Daigo" vid, lol.
Just getting into SFV and damn what happened to Daigo? He used to play such aggressively and now his playstyle has completely changed since SFIV. Sad sight ;(
