Snake Eyez doesn't suck at SF5, he's going through a character crisis. Every WNF fight he played as Gief he won. Stu won WNF one time. Last time they did a Gief mirror match Snake beat him. You're exaggerating kid.
Nothing more annoying than people making excuses for their favourite players. PRrog got wrecked. totally outclassed and outplayed. god-like reads by stupendous.
It was a pretty hard match up in 4 simply because they had to play footsie, and a good zangief wins trades because he has higher health. I still think this is a struggle for Balrog simply because Zangief's V-skill nullifies the dash punches. Balrog has to put in A LOT more work imo for this MU
I can definitely agree especially when Capcom really went out of their way to remove some of the zoning tools that made Rog ridiculous in SF4. Definitely think the match is fair though, just slow and methodical.
I was thinking about the armor too but since KKR gives the dash punches built in mixup I think it's not too bad of a guess from Rog. Cr.jab seems like a problem though but if you can figure your way around it the match should boil down to both player's patience.
How does the music change all way time? Is it because the editor changed it all the time? Even though at the end of the round it speeds up. If he even cut the music to that part he has really thinks about details. Or is there another way to change the music?
I've been saying how much trouble Balrog has against grapplers. Alex and Laura can pull off something similar. EG Alex f.HP is plus 3 on block guaranteeing a powerbomb. Your only choice as Balrog is to backdash or jump. Alex could however throw and air knee smash instead of the powerbomb or a CC atk. :(
How does he Do zangiefs EX attack? The russian pole driver or what it's Called, i Can only Do it after A jump, because of the inputs, how to stay grounded?
Crazy how its still very rough in SF5 even for the high ranking players they don't escape danger as long as they play opponents on their own level they still can lose back and forth and get perfects on each other...they are just faster, have more techniques, blocking and strategy they can still get destroyed quickly by other opponents they have to face losing almost as much as much newer players..
This is the problem with SF players they complain it's a bad matchup because rog can't mash buttons in giefs face. Nobody on the entire roster can mash buttons in giefs face it's a throw character for Goodness sake obviously random ass charge ins are going to be punished SF players are so used to having the game played for you because of over simplicity. Instead just play smart and choose your buttons. If you think gief is bad you should try fighting an iron tager that will teach you everything you need to know in this match up gief will be a fucking cake walk compared to a tager
Gief's v-skill limits Rog's options so damn much, very hard match-up, I believe PR Rog will most likely use Necalli against Gief during tournaments. But Stu is such a cool guy, whenever he found something rog couldn't deal with, he kept using that over and over for rog to learn how to counter it.
holy shit best geif I've seen in sf5 stupendous just needs to work on the mental side of his game a bit he was near perfect till rog hit the CA around 5 min mark then he started dropping and missing a few punishes but still was excellent hope to see him in top 16 at Evo and his the hope for geif keep pushing
Damian Erasmus ik im just saying Snake Eyes because he and Itabashi i think its spelled like that brought attention to gief Snake Eyes has the best zangief in the world
+Tyrese Lyons I know of snake eyes but coz geif is so crap in sfv he doesn't play him much but I dropped that comment a while ago the best geif's for me atm 1 Itabashi zangeif 2 stupendous 3 snake eyes
Damian Erasmus nah I reckon snake eyez is still he best. He's actually versed stupendous before and one. His footsies game is too good. But stupendous does indeed have insane reads but snake eyez has em too
+PhreezePhoenix Balrog has to get close to do damage. If zangief uses iron body at the right timing zangief can grab him every time without really taking damage.
Stupendous makes Gief seems like a viable character. Amazing execution and reads. PR seemed kinda off, playing on full tilt. But Stupendous was clearly the best player on this compilation, bad MU or not.
TBT not even going to lie. I think most sf4 players just don't know how to approach this game well. We can't really call Zangief a crap character just yet, and new generation players have all the time in the world to dissect SFV.
I guess it's a bad matchup for balrog, zangief lp and other range normals don't let balrog get close to do his mix ups and combos. And zangief v skill it's a good way to stop balrog dash punches.
