18:25, she trying to restore the timeline by punching the old man in the face, forgetting much like Elliot, you need to kick the old man in the face to restore the timeline. and that kids is how we got Mk1
For those of you that are confused about what Greg is talking about with the “call it 236” the motion is based on numpad notation. There’s plenty of videos explaining it but a quick summary is think of the character youre playing and he’s facing his opponent to the right. On a numpad think of where you push on your dpad/analog stick is the position on a numpad. 5 being neutral as in nothing is being pressed. So 2 would be down and 6 would be forward. And 3 is the number in between. So to do a basic fireball it’s 236. And the opposite would be 214.
You guys should do a Smackdown Sunday on Fortune Street one day! That play through is still my favorite BSC project and I’d love to see what economic insanity (and maybe even the return of the Angelo voice) you guys get up to!
Hey, nice to see some Smackdown Sunday representation here again! Here's hoping that Smash gets revisited or continued so that all the DLC that has been released since can be shown off!
Scorpion: _"Everyone SKIPS these, anyway..."_ I've said this before in a different place, but it's been SO long since I've played a fighting game; I'm probably SO rusty that the moment I do a Quarter Circle, my entire arm is just gonna fall off.
If you ever attempt to do SNK inputs, you wouldn't even make it. You'd get a heart attack just by looking at them. I'm still recovering from looking at some of them.
@@esmooth919 directions correspond to numbers on a computer numpad. So if some one was playing a game and wanted to describe a characters standing light punch they would right it as 5LP because corrsponds to a neutral input (ie. Not pressing a direction), a crouching medium kick would be described as 2MK indicating pressing down, or a hadouken would be written down like 236LP because it's going from down, to diagonal down forward, to a forward input followed by pressing the Light Punch button. It's a common notation because it can describe moves in a way thats easy to transcribe to text and isn't specific to a particular language.
I was so surprised to see smack down Sundays back, would be fun to see some more Mario kart 8 with the new tracks, or branch out and play Diddy Kong racing in verses mode
Yesterday the latest Austin Eruption video showcased a bunch of broken and unbalanced fighting games at around the halfway point. I think SGB should give them a shot for the Smackdown Sundays XD
10:40 Ooh, just like in the cartoons! 10:45 Ooh, you don't see _that_ in the cartoons... 23:57 Why does Shang Tsung's costume here look so much like Loki from the MCU?
I grew up as a kid loving Mortal Kombat and was even into 11 here. Recently though, I got into Street Fighter and really am liking that more. I’ve been converted lmao
Everyone in the group has their fighting game: John has Street Fighter, Matt's is Tekken, Greg's is Killer Instinct, and Elliot's is MK10/11 Also didn't really notice at first but yeah John is HIGH rn
Welcome back, Smackdown Sunday! By the way, can I be honest here? With the Mortal Kombats and Injustices, I surely wouldn't mind if NetherRealm Studios announced Marvel vs. DC. Is that too much to ask, even though the chances of it happen are slim?
Netherrealm spoils us with the absolute wealth of intro banters in their modern games, almost to the point that it feels like a modern fighting game is missing something if characters don't have at least one exclusive exchange for each potential pairing. Sure, only so much of it is canon for obvious reasons, but it just adds so much more personality to the characters that you're not able to get otherwise. Killer Instinct 2013 for example, as great of a game as that is, only has singular intros and outros that never change at all, and I feel that just leaves quite a lot on the table.
The return of smackdown Sundays...yessssss I wonder what will be next tho sf5 or 6 the dlc mk8d cups and whatnot NASB SNK? The possibilities are endless
while i'm glad to see the return of Smackdown Sundays i think they needs to be a rule that they switch people out not only when someone loses but when someone wins a certain number of times when it became obvious Elliot was just going to win every match it got a little dull for me i would have liked to see some matches between Johnny Matt and Uncle where they would be closer i hope they do this in future smackdowns that said its good to see these return
@@SpoonyBard-mx1vethe donkey kong arcade review. The "how high can you get" screen showed, it cuts to John who answers "very" as he's taking a hit off a damn blunt
“If someone doesn’t pick Spawn I will literally shove the entirety of SGB into a Toaster-“ Elliot picks Spawn first match “Oh WE ARE SO BACK!” Send help I was born in 2000 I shouldn’t be this Much of a Zoomer.
This game got criticised for being too gory. I known a Mortal Kombat game being too gory, shocking. But they actually got a point. Especially the Fatal Blows that are equalisers are so over the top, like people spines get severed, they get impaled, lose organs and they just keep fighting like nothing happened. I get this game isn't particularly realistic but I'm surprised they didn't have a fatal blow that literally chopped someones head off and they just put it back
