They will grade auto’s that are already authenticated by Panini or Topps. They have ended their authentication of raw autographs.

I completely agree and I think that GMA is on par overall. They do round up to 10 on some cards that would probably fetch a 9.5 from other graders. But the 9.5 is also frustrating at times, especially now that SGC has implemented it, as I think it gets used more in pop control than anything. GMA value continues to rise...I’ve even seen an uptick in the number of GMA 9’s I’m able to sell, which wasn’t always the case. I hope they can do further upgrades to their slabs and labels....I think they will be in the game for some time to come!

Yeah, their prices have gone up quite rapidly over the past few months!

All I use. Started with a T206 Nap Lajoie I'd had raw for over 30 years (since I was 11 years old). So I think you can trust them. I soon was submitting more vintage and modern cards for grading too. You won't regret it. But be prepared, they are noticeably stricter than PSA in my experience. They give half grades all the way up to 9.5 though, so I think they are significantly more accurate (i.e., I think an SGC 9.5 is comparable to many lower-end PSA 10s). Good luck!!!

That’s a tough question to answer because I personally believe box prices are inflated right now. If you’re looking for best long term value, you can’t go wrong with Prizm, Select and Optic in that order (for basketball and football). Baseball would be Topps Chrome, Bowman Chrome, and Topps. You can go after the super high end stuff like National Treasure and Immaculate, but you are going to spend some money! I personally like Select the best, primarily because you don’t see Select basketball in retail stores....but it is behind Prizm overall when it comes to value. You can’t go wrong busting some Optic...it’s less expensive and cards usually hold some pretty good value overall.

@@topchopsc1 okay thank you very much. Yes cards are very expensive fight now. What do you feel about contenders? 6 autos for 200 but I do not know the value of the cards when they are in there college jersies.

@@zachm.3165 contenders are fun to rip, especially when you’re chasing autos. You hit the nail on the head with the college jerseys....collectors in general don’t desire those as much as the pro uniforms. Many people who rip products like Contenders will try to offload the cards before the pro uniform stuff hits the shelves. You’ll typically see a dip in value for the college uniform stuff as the year drags on.
