Thanks once again for referring me back to here. but however I GET THE CONCEPT BUT NOW THE QUESTION STILL IS: how would we go about calculating setting of the ct ratio for turbo generator(with 800MVA, 15kV) connected to a step transformer and a unit transformer which supplies the aux? THANK YOU SIR

Sir why the stator windings are mostly connected in star? By the way your lectures are very helpful. Thanks for making them.

In star winding, the phase to earth insulation is only 1/rt3 times the line voltage. Hence cost of insulation can be minimized. In Delta, all points of the windings have to be insulated for Full Line voltage value. Insulating cost invilved will be more in this case..
