Not only in the service to my nation, but to my fellow men and women as a firefighter for 20+ years. My grandfather also served this nation in Korea and Vietnam. Only to come home, become a police officer, and killed in the line of duty. Anyone who thinks that military service is the only service to others is sadly mistaken. Police Officers firefighters run into harms way every second of every day across this nation, as others run the other way. They are who you all call on your worst day. There is no higher calling. Their lives for strangers. 90% of those officers out there day and night have served in the armed forces and continue to serve after they leave. It's bred into them. So you're either a troll or a seed of Satan. Either way, your soul is evil and damned. You're a nobody, a clout chaser. Anyone who actually served in any capacity can see that. And also notices your self weakness and self worship. Stop wishing you were a hero and appreciate those who really are. May this officer rest in peace.
What is said at police funerals when they present the flag? I know the military one which makes me curious as to what is said for police officers or fire fighters
I believe it would vary by area. The city of New York says something along the lines of “please accept this flag as a symbol of our appreciation for (name) courageous and dedicated service to the city of New York”
In the Houston Fire Dept, we say this: Please accept this flag as a token of respect & honor on behaf of a grateful nation, and appreciation for your son's many years of service to the citizens of Houston. I'm in the Dept Honor Guard. So I'm used to saying it.
Completely shattered my heart when I saw the man cry even more when she brought him the badge. Also to those rude comments, I hope you goto hell. If you don’t know the officer personally and just clicked on the video to dislike it and to be a dick then I don’t know what you’re doing with your life but I know you wasted your time to do it.
This person was not Military, Nor should a flag be presented in that way to a Civilian. Fucking disgusting and discussed that thinking you as LEOs can do this as well? When where you part of any branch that was sent overseas to myself or my brothers and sisters. You are a Civi, not one of us. You have never seen some of any of the combat we do, you by our standards in the military are cowards hiding behind a badge and a firearm. Sorry but cowards like LEOs cannot use our way. Whats wrong with someone protecting civilians and their city getting a flag? And what is with all this cowards hide behind firearms? Your saying you guys go to war unarmed? Oh you don't go unarmed then that means by what you say your a coward. Also this officer was brave enough to patrol the streets and even have that traffic stop that he was shot to death during. RIP officer, I know your family deserved that flag.
