Even though this sucks, I wouldn’t say it changes much for me here in India but I’m not quite sure what’s going on now with Eve. Is there something broken, because of the faulty fan or why does this happen now? Will slow me down quite a bit and I was so looking forward to the faster charging again;) Anyway, good to be making progress on my way down to Goa with my friends from the ‪@BigFriendlyTruck‬ even though, sleeping at truck stops might not be for everyone…the little blind passenger sure does enjoy the ride😉

Actually, even the foreigners can use the UPI but unfortunately it is only possible if you enter via airport. You can load your money in UPI account and even at exit you can get refund of your unused amount.

Wenn du wirklich nach China willst beachte bitte das einige Chinesische Städte Motorräder in der Stadt verboten haben. Auserdem kann es auserhalb der Touristenorte schwierig werden ein Hotel zu bekommen. Ausländer müssen von Hotels immer an die Regierung gemeldet werden und viele wollen sich den Aufwand/Ärger sparen. Informier dich da gut.

Dont worry Marc, you are in India , you will find so many electric vehicles, bike, car even tuk tuk. India is very advance bjt just unfortunately you are just traveling outside of the city thats why you have limited option for fast charging

'Blow Horn' is for single lane roads when you're overtaking the truck and he lets you know when its safe to do so. And those guys saved you from falling off the bike. The string could have tangled with your rear tyre and could have caused you to fall off.

What I really love from your whole "no charging stations" is that you prove that one does not really fadt charging for a journey. My bike can only do 3kw charging and has a similar range like Eve. So theoretically I could do traveling with my Alrendo as well. Just need free time and money... Maybe some time I will do it! Safe travels!

my is Zero S 14.4kWh, 230km range at city speed can charge at 1.3kW onboard for overnight charge, I have auxilary 2.4kW chinease charger too but never plugged yet in paralel not to lose warranty. I do 240 km tours but hard to get wall sockets for night here :( even my relatives has no garden house and cannot plug in for night.

In case of emergency just ask to small hotel onwers they will arrange your electric socket for charging. I hope your favourite destination will become India.

First I would check with a 22kW Charging station. I don‘t think, there is anything wrong with Eve (beside the fan). I own two Zeros: a Zero SR from 2018 (my wife‘s bike) and a Zero SR/S from 2021. Both bikes are equipped with a chargetank. The SR can be charged with 7kW and the SR/S with 13kW at the highest level. At some charging station (especially the 7KW version) I see only a maximum of 3kW with the SR/S where the SR happily charge with the full 7kW - experienced this last year on the Isle of Man and was really surprised about the difference. May be it‘s related to the internal connection of chargers and the phases. So Marc, don‘t worry!

don't go to further Northern State(j&k, ladakh, Himachal, uttarakhand) untill February, because lot of place received heavy snow, & temperature getting very low. if you like adventure, off-road or back wheel of bike sliding on road due to snow then its okay..

@@MarcTravels EV charging network vary by regions. The North doesn't have good EV charging network, the West and the South does. On your way to Goa, I'm sure you will notice it yourself.

With dodgy power supplies that go up and down and get turned off and on randomly it can cause things that convert voltages, such as chargers, to blow their input fuse. Each charger will have its own. That would be the first thing I would look for as otherwise they should be fairly reliable.

Hi Marc, Friendly Zero tech here, Your zero config is on 3 phases L1 is front 3kw charger, L2 is the rear 3 kw charger, L3 is the 6kw charge tank so this charge station was single phase so only max 3kw front charger.So in order to get your 6kw charger working(on phase L3) you need to switch the phases L1 to L3 (best todo this in the adaptor cable between the bike and charger)but difficult on tethered charging stations.and yes use compressed air to blow out any dust/debris from the cooling vans to keep the maximum performance out the chargers.Keep making these nice vids thank you.

Hi Marc, what charge cables do you carry with you? On the videos youre using the (granny)charging cable very often for slow charging (wall outlets)thats single phase to(only front 3kw charger)but do you carry also a type2 to type 2 cable with you?(for charge stations without cable attached)@@MarcTravels

Dont worry about charging station or bike parts.. Everything here One advice be careful when you see dogs or cows any side.. Because they usually run suddenly anywhere.. so when see dogs or cows from long distance just slow down

Instead of frequent charging, you can ride calmer, at an average speed with constant throttling / power input and avoid both regen and braking to get upto 3x your typical range

7,2kW charger uses only one phase. Your bike can take 11kW from three phases. So get the maximum only with 11 or 22kW chargers. I'm afraid that you'll find mostly only 1-phase chargers on Asia🤔

you need more then 1 phase to use the second charger and the tank. 7,4kw is 1-phase 32amps. But you probably already figured out.

You can drive 160-180 easily on Indian Highways. I use Ibrufen for my knee pain. Hope to change cartilage in India. BTW what changed after you entered India from Pakistan?

@@MarcTravels you will see Girls driving scooter, heavy motorcycles and cars in jeans. Nobody will ask you to convert to Islam as 99% of Pakistanis will try to persuade you( my own experience). And vegetarian food. Pakistani cook meat better than Indians but vegetables we Indians cook better. Try full throttle as your bike cannot get Penalty.

Hello , I spotted Simon's VW van on Dec 16, 2023 on Lucknow Agra Expressway. He was with his girlfriend. He was driving pretty slow in a coolest way. I was in My New Tata Safari that day. I did slow down my Safari & came in parallel to say him "Hi" but he responded bit few seconds later by that time I came in his lane next to him & saw him waving back in my side mirror. After that I just moved on as I couldn't keep up with his slow moving VW van. BTW, both were cool.

16:58 that charging station is 1 phase. You need a 3 phase station to charge faster than 3KW. In this situation you are only using the front 3KW charger

19:09 your second (rear) 3KW charger (if present, but i doubt it) didn't get powered up since the last time you charged at a 3 phase station in Turkey, i presume.

@MarcTravels a 7 point something KW station is always 1 phase, 240V 32A. It is clearly stated in the user manual for our bikes that you need more than 1 phase to activate the additional chargers.

From the owner's manual: "SR/F and SR/S chargers utilize power supplied on pins specific to a 3-Phase charging point. Use of a single phase charging point will prevent the motorcycle from charging at it’s maximum rate." I have the same problem with some stations in Italy. The cable is a limiting factor too: even if the onboard charger could go up to 7KW you still would have to haul around a heavy 32A cable, while the standard one is maybe 18 or 20 A.

You can't charge to 6kw because for the used charger is a mono phased charger. Each eve's charger is wired on each phase. For use all eve's charger you must use a tri phased borne. V

Chargers! You have the same charge setup as my bike. 3 phase charging. On L1, you have a single charger max 3kw. On L2, you have 2 X 3kw chargers max 6kw. On L3, you have another single 3kw charger. You can swap the L1 and L2 wires and can get 6kw charge on a public single phase charger. Do this either on a cable, or on the bike itself. 3kw on L1 for single phase charging is normal and as intended, so don't worry.

I swapped L1 and L2 on my bike, and I get 6kw charging as a single phase (fast) charger, and still get 12kw at a 3 phase charger. You can also get a type 2 to type 2 adapter, and simply re-route L1 inbound to L2 outbound. Hey presto, 6kw single phase charging!

You may have 3kw on L1, 3kw on L2 and 6kw on L3 with your charge tank. It depends how they installed it at the dealer. I have also seen people run a switch to join the 2x 3kw circuits on the bike for single phase fast charging. I wouldn't want to plug it in to a 3 phase charger with those circuits joined though. 😂 If your bike is a 2020/2021, it may be you need to swap L3 (6kw) and L1 (3kw) to fast charge on single phase. Once again, this does not affect 3 phase charging, or your mains slow charger. Many believe this is how Zero should have released them with the charge tank upgrade in the first place.

Yes this! In Europe and USA 3 phase charging is normal and the load is split across the 3 phases for balance, unfortunately in countries where 3 phase is not the norm (UK and other backwards countries 😂) single phase charging is severly restricted - look for 3 phase (22kW) to gete the best

Did you check, maybe one of the fuses related to the charging has burned out and that's why one charger and fan don't work?

Wow I didn't realise we are about 6 weeks in front of you in time. So I'm guessing the problem with the fan/charger is fixed now. Hopefully it was just blocked with dust and dirt?

I truly hope the charging issue isn't serious. It seems to not be a great concern at t he moment, as EVE is charging, but Let's hope it doesn't mean there's a potentially growing problem. I hope you and Zero have improved your relationship by this point, and hopefully they have offered some sort of assistance. Can't wait to find out! Ride safe. Ride smart. Have fun!

The bug initially with all new tec is getting any faults serviced because it is not just easily available, you should have taken "Itchy Boots" lead when traveling through India and parts remote- ride a Himalayan, simple tec and just about anywhere can service them because of their simple low tec, their new 450 is more modern higher tec, looks like a nice bike but if the new tec failed in the middle of nowhere could the average Joe, jury rig it, to get it going again, probably not???????
