One of those cars could use a junkyard diesel turbo or two... Edit: Everyone’s bickering over whether the exhaust could spin a big ol’ diesel turbo up, so why not play it safe. Have two, one being a small turbo, and then get the biggest semi truck turbo you can find and have the little turbo spin up that one. Amiright?

It could probably start to spin it up, but only at the top end and it likely wouldn’t hit crazy high numbers, but that’s probably exactly what they need. Not enough hp to send them into a wall constantly, and it sounds like they’re staying close to redline for the most part. I’d say go for it and if they really want to, an upgrade is way easier to expense than putting on a whole new (expensive) system
