This Show was paid for by Chrysler down in San Diego several years ago. They also used our Prowlers in the video. Mine is the yellow one. After the car show, Sha Na Na put on a private concert for all of us. What a great show this was
I was in a car wreck and my Pt Cruiser saved my life!! Although my original Cruiser is totaled I'm going to get another one! Also for all of you teens and young adults out there who own them, if you take the back seats totally out put a foam mat down put some blankets and pillows in there its GREAT for a date at the drive in! =P
LOL i take my seats out, mostly for hauling mini dirtbikes and atvs, but you're right. i always froze camping in tents and thought i could sleep in my mini-mini-van :D
i have a pt cruiser...rented one years a go and ended up with this one when i sold my tiburon...i miss my tiburon but the cruiser is fun and i love it...takes me any where i want no problem
I was a Technical Manager for them when they did a concert at the Theater I work at. It was awesome because they released this song for the first time at my theater. It was such an honor
We had a PT Cruiser and loved it!! Never had a problem with it in the 3 years we owned it. We had some nice pinstripping painted on it and joined a couple of PT Cruiser clubs and had a great time meeting other Cruiser owners. It also had a ton of room inside!! After the loan was paid hubby, for some stupid reason, wanted to trade it in for another car - not a Cruiser. Wish I still had it!!!! The car garnered a lot of (good) attention!
I own a BMW 325i 2003...Im buying a 2002 PT Cruiser for my everyday car for my B'day in a few weekz...itz sweet....rented 1 on vacation and it a real comfy ride.....More Power to the PT Cruiser
2007 Marine Blue PT Black Rag Top (stock) nice ride on those summer nights and it dosnt use that much gas.Looks Like my 1934 coupe but not on steroids doowop with a ZZTOP sound I think the Best SHA NA NA song is I"ll Never Stop Loveing You
@killerguppy : You are right! The other cat is most definetely a "wannabe" . My brother is Dennis Greene, the original founding member! Thank you for noticing. God Bless!
I am a huge fan of the late and Great Denny Greene! I'll keep fight for justice for him in the comments from the so called sha na na fans who keeps leaving him out of every tribute to sha na na
But I must add that many people also give Denny Credit, like he deserve. Its always the same kind of a-holes who keeps him out of their tribute to sha na na. So those who leave out the Great Denny Greene is no sha na na fan, thats for sure! R. I. P super Denny!
pr3typ0ny: I just read your post. Chrysler DID update the Cruiser. A year or so after we purchased ours, the convertible was introduced and all models were available in many new colors. We purchased ours 'sight unseen'-except for the online pictures!! It took 4 months after ordering to finally get the car! We had a blast with it.
I bought a 2009 PT Cruiser Touring Edition with only 40K on it and have been gradually improving it so next year it should be show quality ……. I'm also a musician and it holds all my gear easily ; anyone who thinks it's a "Girly Car" is sadly mistaken …...mine is "Surf Blue" and people ask me if it's a custom color , when I'm done with it she'll be for show and Go !!!!
We from NW Cruisers Love this. Any comment about the reference to "Drive my car": By The Beatles? Listen to the lyrics ending this song. Damn song is stuck in my head.
My PT is a GT. 270 HP. 320 FT-LBS. Getrag 5 speed with a Hurst Shifter. Fully Functional Ram Air hood. Borla Dual Exhaust. Not exactly a "Chick Car." It seems like everyone who calls the PT a Chick Car is driving a Honda or a Toyota. At least the PT is unique. Not a bland castrated jellybean.
You're welcome to check out my vids, I have videos of most of the cars I've owned. I am ashamed I owned that 99 eclipse, it was wrecked and I bought it with all that ricer crap on it. I like the rally car style look, I'm planning on getting an STI as soon as possible, some of my fav cars out there.
crysler had somthing going there for a lil bit, they never updated and it became that car that made you barf a little and would feel embarassed if your mom had one.
First off: We have owned our 2001 (!!) PT Cruiser til this very day 2020! She still runs great, ice cold AC. issues with the radio-THATS IT!! But are we sure this is Sha Na Na? No Bowser, none of the guys look familiar....
"Screamin'" Scott, Donny, and Jocko are STILL with the group, and they've aged since they were on TV. Bowzer and Johnny Contardo left the group in 1983, and the group has new members.
i Love my PT, i am in the middle of Building one of the lowest probably the LOWEST PT cruiser right now.. hear there is a guy that has one laying flat on 18s i am going for laying flat on 20s.. love the shit out my pt..
Yeah, I guess I shouldn't expect everyone to like them. It's just like mustangs, I always laugh when I see a guy drive one so I understand where you're coming from.
"Music Legends Sha Na Na and Pat Boone tell the story of a cool cat and his sweet ride" if that was true then what are all the PT cruisers doing there. HA! as for shanana like many bands of yesteryear they tour and make money off of nostalgia but have few of the original members. some old bands I have only ONE original member..
I like my 02 Pt cruiser but must say that Chrysler really dropped the ball on the suspension on this car. Its actually the dodge neon with a new shell. If it had a better suspension set up it would be ten times the car. Also they should have a V6 or even a V8 option. That would kick ass! But still all in all a good car.
ahh SHA NAA NAA for those of us who saw them from the Woodstock days on we do miss some of the memebers However Jocko, Donny and Screamin Scott are still aweseseome this group boasts more professional people Dr. Dennis Greene professor of Law, just for starters. Read their alumni and see Rocka nd roll as Screamin Scott said iS here to stay. Now why can't they come to London Ontario to John Labatt Centre for a show?
