My family all had Covid together as well and my kids missed some end of year school activities. Also right after what happened at Uvalde which made me keep perspective. Definitely had an expensive outfit go to waste for one kid, but we are all alive and well. Hope you had a restful Shabbat

I grew up in church where as children our heroes were the great men and women of the Torah, Prophets and the Writings, but we we not taught the real Jewishness of the scripture. In our home we loved the Jewish people, but never really read the Torah trying to understand from the Jewish perspective. Anyway, just want to say thank you for allowing us to venture into your world and home. Can't speak for anyone but ourselves, but we repent for how Christians have treated the Jewish people. When baking anything with yeast, let the eggs, milk and yeast sit on the counter for an hour or so, they will rise more.

I hope you're all feeling better. Question for you. Do you observe the Friday Shabbat Dinner only, or do you observe until Saturday night. I know some if my Jewish friends only do Shabbat Dinner, but not observe until Saturday night. Just Curious.

It’s hard to listen to you when you have that darling baby in your arms 🥰

The mitzvah is to have 2 challas to represent the 2 tablets of 10 commandments or 2 hamotzi things, in order to say the blessing for kiddush. On shabbat, the mitzvah is wine, fish, meat, which is why people make a few courses. Maybe try not give the boys chicken nuggets for supper on shabbat as it's not special and introduce them to other foods. You have a channel teaching people about Judaism are doing alot of things non correctly.
