Who doesn’t like pink and green together? It screams Shabby and even that Robin blue blends in well. You were so smart to use the glue instead of clay. It’s more flexible and doesn’t crack when dried. I’ve even used 100% acrylic in a tube. Takes longer to dry but it too is very flexible. Good to have the Shabby Lady back to brighten up our day!
Hi Gizmo, and thank you! I loved those soft muted colors in the decoupage paper and really liked how this project came together. I’ve used several different materials in my moulds, but I’ve never been successful using the acrylic caulking. Maybe I’m just too impatient to allow it to dry properly 😂
WOW who knew you could fill a mold with hot glue, paint it & end up with a beautiful piece to add to our crafts? Your rose turned out amazing. TY SO MUCH FOR SHARING from wayyyy up in Maine 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you Cindy! I find using glue in the molds to be quick and much less messy than clay. I’ve never been to Maine, but I watch “Maine Cabin Masters” and love all the beautiful New England scenery!
Amazing that items destined for the trash could become such beautiful home decor! I love using rice paper to decoupage, and the paper you used here is so beautiful! Another great video, Becky! Hugs for sweet Daisy!
Thank you so much Lori! My hubby knows I love trash to treasure projects, and he always asks before he puts items in the recycling bin 😂. Daisy usually patiently waits on her blanket under my table, but she was ready to play fetch!
Becky, I remember this video,it is where I learned how to do the hot glue molds😀and the decoupage cans!! They are so gorgeous with the bows and painted rose. Can't wait to play another one! I love your sweetness ❤️
Hi Becky!! You make just the most cutest things!! I love watching what you create for it gives me so much inspiration! The cans are just darling, I make them and love using them around my home. Thank you so much for sharing!! Daisy is just so cute and she is getting big! See you next time!!
Hello my friend! I just cannot let a good can go to waste😂. They really are versatile for all sorts of trash to treasure projects. Daisy has doubled in size over the last few months but she still thinks she’s a tiny lap dog!
Got my first peek at one of your videos a few backs week while looking for a shabby chic idea for a project and absolutely fell in love with your channel! I have my fixes for farmhouse decor and now I have my fix for shabby chic! Have loved all the projects I have had time to look at from your channel and even saved a few to recreate for my bedroom. I will be honest, I have NO IDEA how to do shabby chic but have always loved that style! I am retiring in a few weeks and made it a plan to finally have that shabby chic bedroom I have wanted since being a young mother with children that would not agree to that! LoL I have an empty nest now, one grandchild, lots of time and a lock on my bedroom door so it is happening! I just wanted you to know how much I love everything about your channel... from your warm welcome to the details you go into on your wonderful creations! Love, love, love! Did I tell you I love your channel? LoL xx
Your kind words just warmed my heart, and I’m thrilled that you’re enjoying my channel! Congratulations on your upcoming retirement! Shabby chic mixes well with farmhouse style. Add a little more florals, lace, doilies, and some pops of color and you’re good! I know you’ll have lots of crafty fun creating shabby projects for your bedroom. Enjoy!
Thank you sweet Annie! I really loved your beautiful summer dress, and you inspired me to pull out my patterns. I have a really cute one for easy purses that I plan to sew!
Beautiful! I really love the rose mould on the bottle. Im going to have to buy that mould set. Its soo pretty! Speaking of pretty... Miss Daisy is getting big.💮🐶
Thank you Carol! I bought the mould on Amazon and I’ve used it for lots of different projects. Daisy has doubled in size since we first got her home, and my love for her keeps growing too!
Ooohhhh I love these so much. They are so beautiful. ♥️ And I would never had thought to use hot glue in those molds. Great idea. As always thanks for sharing your wonderful and inspiring ideas. 👍♥️
They all looks gorgeous. I love the feather that the decoupage paper makes. If I were to see these in a store I never would have guess the roses were made out of glue. Amazing! Thank you so much for the inspiration you have given me. You never disappoint. ❤
