Wow! You struck gold!! 🤗 That's not cracked that is crazing. That shows that it's vintage! Great piece! And that clear glass with the metal top is a potpourri holder. 🤗 The last photo looks like Marie Antoinette. I can't see too well but I think it's her. We all love Marie! 😉 I wish I had Good will by me.
Wowsa! Great finds. The glass one with the metal top is a potpourris jar, and the lines or cracking is called grazing. I love your background music. Cheers, Patricia
The little tray is a really lovely Vintage piece, those are not cracks , it yrs of use. Great find. All the other pieces are Beautiful too. I bring bubble wrap and a blanket in my cart for extra protection.
The two trays are beautiful... such great finds! I would love to find that silver tray in good condition like yours. The ones I find are always in poor condition. The "cracks" you see on your dish is most likely crazing. Crazing can be so beautiful on a vintage piece. It adds character. :) TFS!
That glass container that u weren't sure what it was for. My grandma had one of these and she said it was for potpourri, the top has gaps so that the scent can come through. The piece you got is so beautiful.
Love that tray! I know that bugs me when something gets chipped ... 😑💔 you could put a pretty ribbon tied over it and a little rose. I like it plain with some chocolates but it might be pretty with a ribbon. I like Rachael Ashwell shabby chic because it is well chosen items and not a ton of clutter.
wow beautiful findings where is this fabulous stores and great prices becuase in New York is expensive please tell me where you find this great items ?
It's a cruit. You are correct, bath oil, liquid bath soap, bath salts. Not for food oils unless totally glazed on the inside.... Mostly to decorate a lady's dresser or bath.
Great finds.. I know this was awhile ago but I absolutely love that tray!! If you still have it I would love to somehow get it from you! My Grandmother had one just like it and , well I would just love to have it and of course I would pay you... Let me know.. Thanks Jules .. :)
I'm a sticker for teapots as well. That one was gorgeous. Turn the music way down, though. It made it hard to watch the video. The thing that you didn't know what it was, looks like a decanter; for liquor.
What a gorgeous haul - you have such amazing style! It sucks that the heart tray chipped but it was very unnoticeable. You could try covering the chip with shiny topcoat nail polish - at least it might look like it has the same glossy texture as the rest of the tray. Or not - trial and error, right? :P The silver mirrored tray is the best find - so beautiful! Have you ever watched the RU-vid channel Vanchic? She used to talk a lot about using "fancier" pieces to make your decor look very high end - some of her ideas were very cool (for instance, using a beautiful ceramic vase hold hot hair tools, etc). Anyway, have a good 4th my sweet friend! xox
shabby chic is a style created by Rachel Ashwell. she has many books. pick then up to learn her style. vintage is the age not style. Vintage means older style.
