So I’m not sure how deep he was going with the Jack Daniels line. But it’s well known that the original Jack Daniel was taught the art of Whiskey making from a former slave named Nathan “Nearest” Green. So is he saying him and Jack Daniel’s have a history because he drinks or because the mentor to Jack Daniel is black and so is Shaboozey. It’s an oddly specific line to throw in there and it to be a coincidence

Just spent the weekend at the Stockyards in Fort Worth and this song was everywhere!!! For sure the song of the summer! (And not sure if anyone mentioned it, but he gives a nod to J-Kwon’s “Tipsy” - “One, here comes the 2 to the 3 to the 4; Everybody drunk out on the dance floor.” Another song to check out so y’all can see the reference! 😉)
