How can anyone not root for this young lady? She is such an amazing person. She lost her mother and made a mistake. She should still be able to compete in Tokyo and not be judged so critically.
I heard her mom passed away a few months ago. This young woman is so positive, I’m just now (2021) hearing about her. Hope she wins it all at the Olympics!! Go Sha’Carri!!!
There's a passage that speaks to this situation, it says, "I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all."( Ecclesiastes 9:11) I'm hoping and praying this young woman has strong spiritual resources to get her through this. Because at the end of the day, true happiness comes from your relationship with Jehovah God.
Amen. She's definitely on the right path now. Walking her way back to God. Especially given that second gold medal few won hours ago in the 4x100, World Champion. The blessings of God have only began to abound.
@@surunitemiakanni-oye4346 a total wreck. Amazing how she seems to have changed so much in just a few years. After her dead last finish in the Prefontaine games, she might be done.😢
@@barbarasaunders2160 I fully understand America’s immense joy and pride on discovering a unique home-grown talent - one good enough to take on the mighty Jamaicans on the track. She certainly has the raw speed and bravado to fight for bragging rights, given the records she was setting as she transitioned into the pro ranks. But, as you have noted, something, somehow is off. Far off. You can at least see the end result. All that bodily scarring with tattoos. And no serious professional dabbles in any drugs. The Jamaicans don’t, or we all would have heard. They need every dollar to count back home, they aim to win every race and get the winner’s purse - to time to dilly-dally or mess around with drugs hoping not to get caught. Can she recover? It is possible. Justin Gatlin sort of muddled through after 4 years ban. This young lady needs a new team and a lot of soul searching. Does she want to get up every day to train hard, lift weights in the gym, eat the right foods and go to bed early to preserve her strength? Usain Bolt said he decided to retire when all those questions turned to no for him. She is 21 years young as a baby taking her first steps into the athletic world. It can be brutal. We will see. Shelley-Ann Fraser Pryce is 34 and faster than her.
@@surunitemiakanni-oye4346 undoubtedly she has a lot more issues than marijuana and tattoos. Yes she needs a better team of people around her, because she seems like a whole other person from this video, to how she is now. Yes America is looking for another great female track star. I wish her luck. 🍀
Come on ShaCarri! I ran track (sprinter) a few decades ago and just started watching you do your thing at LSU! What talent!! Stay strong and focused. Don’t let anything come between you and your goals. If it doesn’t motivate, it’s a non-factor. I can’t wait to see how far you go in your career. 💪
outstanding young lady, proud not only of her but all those great people in the room with her ! There are so many stupid lies about what Black communities are really like, this is and always has been the norm. Its by far the greater reality !
What do you mean by this comment regarding stupid lies about Black communities ? Give examples. Not one lie about this drugs-using young lady have I heard. All mouth and no show. Obnoxious and extremely irritating. Everything checks so far. Not one lie.
She should be given a chance to run in these Olympics it’s crazy she is a class act really. That’s the worst mistake she makes in her life she’s a lucky girl
The way the Jamaicans bust on the scene years ago, they all can be questioned. Also, it has been said everyone in track and field is suspect on the world level, even some in high school. Let’s not just single out Flo Jo because her records have stood for over 30 years.
I tried to post the link to her mini ducu but RU-vid kept deleting it. Wheeeew, this young lady has a testimony that the world need to hear. She is so strong. Bless her heart. She is a absolute warrior. She was destined for greatness, it was already written. I was so emotional and teary eyed while watching it. It made me root and adore her even more. Maybe you can goggle it and watch it. It’s called, “Prodigy” S1:E4 Sha’carrii Richardson. After you watch it check back in and let me know what you think. Grab your tissue. Blessings to Sha’carrii
@@Monaedeezy 1) She openly uses drugs and advocates "the sticky icky" 2) She's obnoxious and shows extremely poor sportsmanship 3) she demands to be the center of attention (ie; self-centered) by her clownish make-up and garb 4) She shpws no respect for the elite veterans of her sport.
@@joelouden6592 4) She shpws no respect for the elite veterans of her sport She is not supposed to. Usain Bolt did not. He just out-ran them into the record books. But you are right if you mean she did not back up her boasting
That's what I was thinking 🤔there had to be way more to the story about her relationship with her mom not sure what her mom passed away from but hope it wasn't from the separation between whatever was going on with her and Sha Cari in which something wasn't right! Also all the support it seemed she had around her she should of been able to talk to them about her mom of the passing and maybe that drug use wouldn't had happened but rules are rules this is sad all the way,, I hope that this is a lesson learned, she's not the only one who should be punished who smoked with her?🤔 Instead of smoking with her talk to her get her immediate help she needed but rules are rules let this be a lesson to all the young fans that when you're given the Blessings you have to be able to handle every situation that comes your way this is what responsibility means you're not a kid anymore you're an adult continue to be a leader not a follower my continued Prayers and Blessings to her!!!🙏💪🏼🥇
I know right? If I see one more " Goex TiGERss" im going to puke. Texas needs to start winning in every sport to get our swag back and keep our talent home.
@@slushymatis thatz changing now that coach floreal iz n austin,... not that it matterz cauz ther will alwaze b talented athleetz atta variety uv skoolz.. oh & azza track person i luvv them all
Drugs have that effect. How many obese druggies do you know of? They are usually thin and emaciated after days and weeks spaced out on drug highs after the next high.
She,"Sha'Carri Richards," needs to voice her opinion in regards to the Russian girl who has been allowed to compete in the Olympics under a bar allowed to be lowered fo her, yet for Richards, ( a drug legal in many states in America), which should not even be considered a drug but instead a relaxant for the body, (Marijuana), the high bar remained in place, unlike the national band placed on the illegal drugs, the 15 year old Russian ingested and was allowedto continue competing..She was allowed to contend and read the same rulesand regulations as Sha'Carri did.. Sha'Carri had to adhere to the rigid standards, so why shouldn't she? A color issue once again it seems, (as well as), Russia being allowed to change the coarse of history and how it will be inevitably written just because no one wants to upset 😡 Russia..Whether the U.S. has anything to do with this (years Olympic story), on how it is written or not...."Sha'Carri Richards deserves and we demand vindication." JLA
She will have to run extremely fast to beat the pair of Jamaicans track queens Fraser-Price and Thompson and to a lesser extent their 17yr old rising star Brianna Williams who clocked 10.94 sec with a high fever. Thompson and Fraser-Price have both ran 10.73 sec at their national trials.
