Absolutely love your videos Mr Kent great to see some shad coming out, on my end things haven't been that great with the shad never even caught 1 yet 😂but we must be persistent, hope to see more videos soon 🎉
Great one Kent. Good to see Derrick up and about. Nice size shad. Good of you explaining the rules of sharing/not sharing additional catch. Unfortunately it's only a handful of law abiding citizens who adhere to these laws. I have seen people opening the "tap" and bakkies and cars driving off with more than enough.. what a pity. Great video.
Hi Xris, good to hear from you! Yeah it’s important to share knowledge and information. Yes unfortunately not everyone listens, but we push on… best time of the year is fishermen 😄 thanks and take care
Hi Kent, enjoyed the video. Great content. 2 things please. Your reel covers. Where can I get them? And then down at The Aloes next Friday for 2 weeks. Where's best place for shad fishing around there. Cheers and thanks
Shot Clive! Fish SA reel covers are available at most leading tackle stores or else drop them a comment on their Facebook page and I’m sure they will direct you to the nearest outlet in your area. Bru, Shad are bitting at all the major spots in KZN and the Eastern Cape. Where’s the Aloes?
@@clivedewes8388 ok cool! Pumula and Umzumbe are beautiful spots to fish. I need to go to Stebel again sometime but ya like I said, most of the Shad spots along the Coast have producing plenty Shad. A few Garrick as well
It can be labour intensive! Look Shad are the most forgiving fish to catch. You can throw almost anything at them and they will bite. When it comes to Kob or other game fish, you got to almost throw your arms off to get the bite. Occasionally you get lucky and conditions are favorable etc and you hook the fish within the first 5 casts. Steve , water , conditions , the lure, your patience , all plays a part. I will try and explain further on the next upload
