No-commentary gameplay of Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi. US Version. Megadrive/Genesis. Hardest difficulty (Level 3). Non shuriken mode and no magic. Game completed with 1 life. Played with Gens. No tools, cheats, autofire, re-recording or save states were used.
Excellent remake of the original Shadow Dancer for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis released in 1990. Graphics are not as detailed but this is a better and more balanced game in my opinion.
Game is quite similar to Shinobi, being the major difference the presence of our dog Yamato. We have to rescue several hostages in every stage in order to complete them.
The gameplay is set on level 3 (you cannot pick power-ups, more enemies and tougher bosses) and non-shuriken mode. I didn't use magic also.
It's not really a difficult game as there are plenty of extra lives, but one hit can kill you, so you must be careful in some parts.
In my opinion this is a great game, even better than the arcade version, and everyone should give it a try.
