I beat him on Insane last year! And yes it's all about learning the pattern of his attacks. A key strategy is focusing on dodging while shadow energy is noy ready. Only become offensive the shadow ability is active (on mech parts)

Tip for rounds 1 and 2: the robot is very slow, and avoid his missiles. For round 3: use your best combos and shadow energy. Stay away from him. For round 4: follow round 3's tip and don't forget that he'll use combos and shadow energy together

The thing that carried me throughout Shadow were the kamas. Heavy attack the robot while you circle him, and on the other rounds just try to be careful and use the kamas' fast attacks.

StarInSky Shadow is reall hard especially in round 3 and 4. I tried to defeat him for hours finally I did on impossible. But i had a powerful helm so I think you can say it insane. I did it with Epic Composite Glaive

my tactic for shadow phase 3, with the shield, AND 4, with the infinite shadow energy, was to be aggressive as possible, not letting him attack at all. and also combos for both of them. that's what breaks his shield fastest and stops infinite shadow energy man from attacking, combos. i used composite glaive btw so combos were easy

The mechanics of SHADOW First round you can easily keep dodging his attacks and use the range weapon and shadow abillities if you reach the edge of the map dash forword by double tapping the forword button to change sides and repeat Second round is the same thing only that after his double blade attack and his three blade combo attack he launches rockets so just wait till he does one of those moves and dash forword you have infinite time afterall so dont try to rush it third round its where its at you have to dodge shadows attacks or block them (even tho you will take a lot of damage) then counter him if he isint attacked for very long he will create an shield which can be broken with an critical (so heralds are usefull) or by one shadow move with enough patience you can beat this round as well final round is an tougher version of the third round you should still dodge and counter him but do not stray too far since he will do his shadow mind beam ray if he does it you need to roll into him then dash forword You will need to be very patient you have infinite amount of time so just be careful and i suggest an herald glaive since it can both be an offensive distance weapon and an defensive counter attacking weapon (if you want to be an asshole use airscrew) use your highest herald helmet that shadow attack damage is needed (use it with amplification) and use your highest dynasty armor with spurt (i hope you already know why you need spurt)
