Great run but I have a question. I keep trying to homing attack the Artificial Chaos on the top platform at 2:02 and for some reason the reticle just never shows up. I've tried for 2 hours to get up to this platform to use the Chaos Control skip and I can never seem to get the homing attack to work properly. Is there a certain angle you have to jump at?
Thank you for your kind words! As for that homing attack, it's just rather strict. You should be facing forward, hold the jump button after hitting the Artificial Chaos enemy, and then you have to press the Homing Attack button as quickly as possible. I hope this helps! Also, I don't know if this affects anything, but I'm playing the game at 120 FPS, just in case that matters!
at that point you have to homing attack and DO NO HOLD FORWARD at the height of the homing double jump and the crosshair will appear you only have a few frames to do another homing attack
I managed to do it everytime. Try to homing attack the first one early while boosting. Then double jump right after after killing him and you should aim the second one. My guess is that if you attack the first one from a distance the field of view being larger will make you aim the second ennemy.
Congrats on this, I got a 4:07 on my own which landed me 7th on PlayStation. Sadly it’s well past midnight in my timezone so I gotta sleep, but I’m glad that Day1 is getting pushed to it’s limits already
2:02 I’m trying out your route and managed a 1:01 for the Missile cutscene… but I can’t make this jump for my life. Maybe it’s Terios, maybe it’s a skill issue, but I just CANNOT get the homing attack
It’s tricky. You have to hit the enemy, then do a full jump but very quickly press the homing attack button. I had to practice a few times before getting it right
