What's amazing about Ben's vocals is that he's becoming more and more intelligeble while not losing his tone. The story through the lyrics is what elevates this song
@@jaydenjbryant8665 SOI's always had great lyrics. First about Halo, then a concept album, and now about history and humanity, or sometimes the lack of humanity. Corrupt politicians, warmongers, etc.
I think one of the best parts is they way he enunciates words for different effects and different parts of the song? I’ve only recently started listening to SOI, but it’s obvious the progression he has made He is extremely dedicated to perfecting his craft
His vocal tone is insane. I didn't know how much better it could get going forward but it's even meatier and more immense now. Hoping to hear more of his highs once the album drops so we can hear what he's got going on with the upper end of his range. And hoping to hear more super guttural vocals too. Think songs like this are the best way to generate hype for the album. Give a glimpse of the awesomeness and variety in store without playing your most wild cards. Only time will tell what happens on the album.
Everyone goes on about how good Ben’s vocals are, and how much of an amazing songwriter Chris is, but fuck me Bryce’s drumming is insane. I can’t even begin to imagine the workout playing these songs give him, and he does it with a fucking smile on his face??? Man’s insane

Absolutely love this one. Liked Intensified Genocide and it's grown on me a lot, but this one, top five to date from Shadow. Take the two songs together in context of the album, feels like they're making a statement. "We've still got it, and we've got even more range now. Get fucking ready".
I like this track way more then Intensified Genocide. It still feels a bit flat to me, maybe it's because the drums drown out the guitar for most of the song. Still a good song just felt like it was missing a piece of the puzzle that many songs off of Melancholy had.
@@jaydenjbryant8665 I totally agree. Primordial Ill always have a soft spot for since thats when I started listening to them, Imho I feel like Reclaimer is incredibly overrated. Not saying its a bad album cause its not, its really good but I felt like Melancholy was leaps and bounds better and based off this track I feel like Elegy is absolutely shaping up to be their best yet. Making the shift to death metal is a great move
I like this song, but Intensified Genocide to me I like better. But this is track reminds me of Melancholy title track it breaks up the album that makes it part of the album. Be interesting where this album goes
I do agree this track was better than the previous one. But still not sold on this yet. Looking for something more to stand out on the album and hoping to get it. Regardless of what I think though, respect for them putting out the music they want.
