The Forbidden Lands are so pretty the lush Greenery of the South and west side, the towering caskades in the east, the windy deserts and roaring shorelines in the west, the more barren, mountainous terrain in the north and the ominous temple in the middle, such a nice mix

@@Dead_Newbie I mean it blew me away the first time I played it, over a decade ago on my cousin's PS2, it's a masterpiece yeah, but I tried replaying it on PS4 and the repetitiveness and annoying controls made me bounce. I know that action isn't the main focus of the game but it could use some variety to its combat, how to tackle the colossi, things to do in the world, as well as new types of colossi and enemies, maybe different endings (ofc I'm talking about the remake or, who knows, a hypothetical true sequel)
@@wallacesousuke1433 I understand what you mean. I played it back on the PS2 when it was released and was amazed. Mainly remasters ride on the nostalgia of older gamers. I think it's a fundamental aspect of remasters vs remakes. Of course it's hard to screw up a remaster whereas remakes can make a game worse rather than better. So it's definitely a risk to do remakes in that way. A multiplayer mode where you can control one of the Colossi and then have a friend try and kill you would be awesome.
@@wallacesousuke1433This is a game from a different era of gaming, the game was trying to portray a story and it achieved all of that with the given mechanics in an almost perfect way. no game is perfect. but there would be no point in adding different enemies or other colossi other than over-engaging the players which this game sees no reason as to why it should do that, the camera work is there to support the narrative its not totally there to only serve the player to get quick shots with the bow or some random shit like that. not every games has to be filled with "content". and the game does have replayability if you want to figure out the possible lore and tackle more weak points on the colossi, and every one of them had fairly interesting puzzles that you had to work on so you would defeat them. not every game should have a Delux GOTY version with added content to it. the purpose of the remake was to keep the vision while making it more appealing to the modern gamers and in a game like this any change to the mechanics could ruin that vision.
When I was little I bought Shadow of the colossus for ps2 because I thought the cover of the game looked cool. I thought it was a game just like any other, but after trying to beat the game for months, sometimes being stuck on one guardian for weeks, I finally beat the game. The feeling I got after beating the game was unlike anything I've experienced before in games. This game made me realise there is so much more to games than just beating enemies and finishing levels. This is the game that made me realise that games are art.

Ah man imagine how cool if rather than using our sword to find this boss instead it shows us the sky and Avion goes flying and basically it becomes our destination way point just look up instead of holding the sword.

*honestly just to have avion fly over NPC style the entire game and still get to fight him would be amazing, imagine that and hearing random yawns from an unknown colossi that will shake the map in that collosis direction or a random sneeze from another collosi map puts you in that direction.. *make the collosi more interactive in thier own environments... expand the map add the 10 missing collosi clean up texturing and for god sakes fix the audio out put and cancerous camera angles my only complaint ever for this game..... id say on top off this add a final unknown collosi and add an item pick up after every collosi battle as a customizable item for hiro let me kill with drip... armor, color swaps,differnt helmets, differnt style swords that still do same damge just cosmetic, and maybe we can customize agro a bit just change his color maybe a blanket or sadle color swaps obviously maybe give him bridals or helmets one or 2 with spikes legendary pick up unicorn agro.... i feel like you could implement all this and still not interrupt the beautiful art this game is just add to it......
If this game ever gets another remake, I think the two flying colossi should be seen flying around the overworld from time to time, similar to what botw and totk do with their dragons. That is til you got to fight them. Also they should add in new colossi too.
